If there's one thing that these clips make clear, which I think really confirms what we all already knew, it's that the NFL is out to get KC and keep them down by any means necessary.

What the whole game confirms is that NFL officiating is trash. Almost every play there is a penalty that could be called but isn't. That just makes 80% of the penalties look capricious, rigged, unfair... etc. whatever you want to call them. There is no consistency so you end up with game-changing penalties being called seemingly to benefit one team. It is something the NFL needs to correct, but why bother when you are making so much money and the top /popular teams get the calls they need to stay at the top. It's the one thing that sometimes makes me want to stop watching the NFL.

yep.
as suzzer's bff cris said last night:

Quote:
"Um. We've seen a lot of contact downfield tonight. We have seen a very physical approach out of the New York Jets. And we've seen a lot more than THAT, that wasn't called."
-Cris Collinsworth on the Jets being called for defensive holding on the Chiefs' 3rd-and-20
most plays have dbs just grabbing receivers and riding them all over the field, guys getting jammed 10-15 yards downfield, it's ridiculous
(and yeah offensive holding on most plays, as john madden used to say)

and that one did look like a penalty. they shouldn't call it because they were letting them do worse all night? lol, ok. also, ppl acting like the game was stolen from the jest, you know they were losing at the time, right?

this is 99% salty ass bitches who hate the chefs/tswift, just admit it. you'll prob feel better

There's obviously two different schools of thought on that. Some people think if it's a penalty they should call a penalty no matter if they didn't call one for similar situations earlier in the game. Others think if they didn't call a penalty on a similar situation in the first half they also shouldn't call one when the game is on the line.

If they start calling every hold on the O-line we have 50 penalties (or sacks) in every game. If they start calling defensive holding, we have 50 penalties (or 100 points) in every game. Unfortunately there's no easy way to fix this.

That said, complaining that Sauce got called for holding in a situation where he's clearly holding just seems wrong to me. Same as with Bradburry in the Super Bowl.

yeah i was gonna say that, idk how to fix it either. maybe make more calls and hope they back off, but it usually just backslides throughout the season. everyone goes with the ol "dare them to make a call every play" thing until the refs just give up

Maybe make the holding rules as clear and concise as "what is a catch, " things will solve itself.

If ROG didn't have his head up Swift's moneymaker, he would see this obvious solution and implement it. Perhaps after the bloom is off Kelce's rose, we'll see some progress.

nobody posts about solid officiating in the nfl
in the end, if they'll care about the sentence more instead of the amount of imprints their three letter brand leaves upon our pupils
we'd all have a better time around the burn pile
