My mouth says GBay is going to get roughed up the second half, but my money doesn't want to lay 6 or 270 against them, a one loss team. In fact it seems value here tonight might be buying 7.5. I hope I pick the right one. As November and December roll on I think the Packers as non-elite will be born out. Tonight, and for as long as that zero is on the Cardinals record, they are the hunted. Soon the Packers the hunted.

I actually have Bengals -10.5 as my Stone Cold MySpace Lock of the Century of the Week.

The Jets QB will be some guy named Mike White. No relation to Walter White.

So I know you're all asking:

Who is Mike White?

Of the 32 backup quarterbacks in the NFL, White is in contention for the least notable of the group. So where did White come from and how did he become the No. 2 quarterback on the Jets?

White has been in the Jets organization for three seasons, spending the last two years on the practice squad. He was activated from the practice squad to the game day roster three times in 2020, the only times he was on the active roster prior to earning the backup quarterback job this season.

Man I hate to go against McMuffin and Bidz (two stalwarts of SE) but I really don't see it tonight. The last time Rodgers went to Arizona with scrub WRs he had to throw 4th and 20 from the endzone and a hail mary just to tie the game. Kyler's a little banged up and Watt out could help, so at best maybe a backdoor cover? Maybe tease to +7.5

How often do these come around? I'd like to add a few more of these this season to minimize my chances of putting too much $$$ on an unlikely misfire. Can I expect at least three more of these before the Superb Owl?

Packers without Adams, Lazard, and MVS. Cards without Watt. Hopkins is in. Hard to see Rodgers getting enough out of a bunch of scrubs to keep up with Kyler. Granted Cards rush D is weak. Ran the bankroll up riding GB and tonight its all on Arizona. Cards most fun team in the league.

Well it's hard to calibrate without being in the moment with injury reports, more information from the season as we go along, etc.

BUT I do expect to have at least one more, probably two more of these opportunities. Colin Cowherd today was talking about how Tom Brady said how much the league has become a "Skills League". Brady said that when he came in the league your team could have a solid rushing game, great D, and you'd just grind out wins.

Brady also added that the Steelers back then could just "out-tough" them to victories, which simply doesn't happen anymore. Cowherd talked with retired TE Greg Olsen who mentioned simply how hard it is to play defense anymore in the league. Also they talked about how much having a skilled QB vs. a not-so skilled one creates team dominance, almost to the college football level of competition (lack of parity).

With all that being said I feel super confident in the Bengals winning by 20+ in this contest. The Bengals are pumped af. Joe Burrow said all the right things today how they're not content with being 5-2, with how they are working hard, practicing their reps, and eager to improve every day. Looks like they would relish right now in the opportunity to curbstomp the pathetic Jets.

Finally, I feel this confident on the Bengals covering with Mike White being one of the WORST backups in the league, with their coach openly stating that he is completely overwhelmed, the locker room being a bit of a mess, and then they don't really have an offensive mind on the coaching side to prepare Mike White in any tangible capacity anyway.

Convincing! I'll play this conservatively and only put one-fourth of my net worth on the Bengals. I can't wait to count my manies!!!
