Pretty sure you're alone here. Adams is the best route runner in the league and automatic in the red zone. Not saying it can't change, but right now it's not really a contest imo

Holy crap - this seems majorely lopsided (in favor of Miami - even with a 1st round pick) right? Tua seems decent but he's not nailed on pro bowler like Watson is.

If it's Miami's #3 pick then it would be close. I would do it in a second if I was Miami.

Watson is the 2nd highest paid qb in the league and Houston will have no leverage since Watson has a no trade clause and may want to force his way there so he would have to approve of the destination

Deshaun would probably not waive his no trade clause for the Jets

Grossly overpaid.

Watson is a middling QB.

There's a dozen QB's I'd take before him.

Miami is better off with Tua.

Great to get the monkey off the back with first playoff W. That stupid narrative and the come from behind can get punted. After terrible Q1 Ravens played really solid. Going to be happy to be an underdog @KC or @BUF next week.

I’ll take Keenan Allen as best route runner and will die on that hill

He had little help this year and had his best season of his career. This is with injuries/suspension to his rb1, wr1 and wr2. His stats are slightly inflated due to his team being behind a lot but his turnover stats aren’t that high considering volume.

I assumed it was sarcasm.

As a phins fan I hope they can trade down from #3 to #8-10 or so and take Rousseau, Paye, Parsons, or Chase and then give their 1st rnd pick along with the capital they received from that trade for Watson instead of giving up the farm for Watson as the team still has a lot of holes and then you have a star quarterback without the team around him to win.

I'm a Tua believer, think he had elite accuracy(Brees like) under 40 yards), and could read through the progressions quickly. The oline is still poor, and the Phins had both their slot receivers opt out for covid and Parker/Williams missed so much time... probably had the worst supporting cast in the league for a chunk of the season.

you acknowledge the o-line is poor yet you list three defensive players and a WR you want them to take? if you want Tua to be around you want Miami to stay at #3 with the hopes of drafting Sewell. my hunch is NYJ will go QB and Sewell is yours. also curious why you'd want Chase over Smith if you're picking a WR?

I am also a Tu’a believer and think the reaction to the last two games has been ridiculous

He wasn’t great and both he and his playcalling were too conservative but he completed 64% of his passes and had more than double the TDs to INTs in his first regular season as a QB after coming back from an injury so bad many people said he wouldn’t play at all this year

I agree they should pick that LT if they don’t get an incredible deal to trade down.

if Sewell keeps improving on the trajectory i've seen from him in college, he's a HOFer.

he's only 20, and the athleticism at 6-6 350 is just filthy

is Sheldrick related to Jarvis? I saw Jarvis Redwine play for Nebraska in the 80s

Bear in mind, I'm factoring in money and contract lengths, etc etc.
Deshaun Watson signed a 4 year, $156,000,000 contract with the Houston Texans, that starts next year, that's 39 million/year for the math challenged.

In no particular order, I would take the following QB's over Deshaun Watson, mostly because of that lol onerous contract of Watson's.

Dree Brees
Tom Brady
Aaron Rogers
Patrick Mahomes
Josh Allen
Russell Wilson
Lamar Jackson
Justin Herbert
Kyler Murray
Joe Burrow
Taysom Hill
Baker Mayfield

and Tua Tagovailoa.

Prediction: Houston Texans are gonna regret that contract, big-time !

Yes, middling.
mid·dling
/ˈmidliNG/

adjective: moderate or average

I'm comfortable with that adjective for Deshaun Watson
