The Peach Bowl was the NYE bowl game to watch every year up until the playoffs started. The Peach Bowl made it into the New Year's Six because it had reliably sold out for 20+ years despite being something like SEC #5 vs ACC #2 or #3 if I recall. Sugar Bowl was always a Jan 1 game.

Kentucky. Jimminy H. Christmas. A four win team, one of them over a winless team, 50/50 to pass for over a 100 yards ... favored here in a bowl game. The four teams they beat won a total of 9 games, 4 of them against the same winless team (Vandy). Kentucky had one or two games where they looked good all year.

I don't have any feel for NC State. Their passing offense, rushing D seem critical. Can't make a move in spite of one of the worst teams ever to be favored on Jan. 1.

lol they bring in their rules expert and the guy says it's on the 1 bc he was down (it was because his momentum carried him in, not because he was down) and that if he hadn't been down, it would have been a touchdown (it would have been a touchback)

I knew UGA was getting the better of it, but didnt' realize it was this bad. 248 and 9.9ypp to 94 and 3.6ypp

And yet we're a missed FG from being tied. Cincy could really use a score here on the last drive before half

In a game I asked a teamate why he committed an egregious late hit out of bounds penalty. His answer: “I’d run so far...I just had to hit somebody.” as if that meant case closed.
