If clubs had 120m to spend on a defender, they would go for brave Harry Maguire.

Looking forward to seeing how he does in La Liga this year.

Rabiot looks a better deal. Wages are reported to be reasonable, and every chance they can get a decent fee for him at some point.
Well, if the performance of other British players abroad actually has any bearing on how well Ramsey will do (it doesn’t), it’s probably worth a reminder that fellow Welshman John Charles was voted Juve’s greatest overseas player ahead of Platini and Boniek.

Yeah, because using the example of one player who did well abroad is a much better predictor than just using every British player...

I agree w Daca. Unless De Ligt has a short contract they should just tell teams it's Felix money or better otherwise gtfo.

Thing that really is bizarre to me, if youre going to spend close to £100m on Maguire just spend the extra and get koulibaly.

He's just better.

I agree with this as well, they've already sold a few players and should be able to hold out for as much as they can.

Barcelona's VP Jordi Mestre has resigned (the 4th one to do so in 3 years). It seems like Neymar is getting closer and closer.

It appears this is exactly what Ajax is doing, according to a Dutch news website they refused the first offer (€65M) from juve and are asking for a ~VVD inspired amount (€87M)

Always thought he was very underrated and never got the recognition he deserved. Don't know how good he will be at 36 though.

You're probably on the right track about my line of thinking, but we tried the two proven goalscorers thing this season and it Emery failed to show he even has the slightest clue how to set our team up to play to those strengths. Don't get me wrong, they provided some great moments, but they were largely offset by the severe lack of quality and depth in other areas of our squad.

Auba is 30 and Laca is 28. By the time we're good again (actually good, not just hanging around praying to scrape a CL place), they're likely gone anyway.

Or maybe do some actual scouting work and pick a kid out of the Portugese league or something who's 1/3 of the cost and probably already better than Maguire.

The problem is if you're selling Auba to fund a "rebuild" with Zaha as your main purchase...he's 27. That's not old but everyone here knows Arsenal is at best 2 or 3 seasons away. You're going to be in the same spot with Zaha in two seasons.

Militão to Real Madrid for 50M and I'll eat my shoe if he's not better than Maguire.
Both Benfica CBs will probably turn out better as well, but with us selling Felix for 120M, nobody's leaving on the cheap now.

Spuds apparently close to Olmo. Would probably be good business, and they are unfortunately crushing it so far.
Hopefully that means they're not going for Ceballos, because i'd love for us to pick him up.
