BORT just seems like a natural left tackle to me, kid's got the size and the MOXIE to throw blocks as hard and far as he can

Yeah. I think they should franchise Flowers. I'm sure it's an overpay, but overpaying by $2 million on a one year contract isn't a killer. He's going to get a multi year contact with an AAV close to the franchise number for DEs. I'm sure they're hoping to get him back, similar to what they did with McCourty, Hightower and even Moss - let him see what his free agent market is and offer him something close to the best offer. I just think it'll end up near the franchise number, anyway. Give him the $17.1 and don't risk it. Dude isn't even 26 yet.

It'd be a pretty grim front 4 next year without him.

fitzmagic is too good at blocking to play WR. He has to be on the line or FB.

At least bring JaMarcus Russell out of "retirement" for an OL position.

Antonio Brown wasn't getting nearly enough credit earlier in the thread. A lot of Juju's big games - like vs Denver this year - are due to AB getting the attention of the defense.

AB in HS:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RoG1ULuAP78

His football IQ is off the charts. He sees the field so well after the catch, and his agility trips people. He like bounces side-to-side at full speed. Watch Ab vs the Saints late in the year - against Marshon Lattimore - to see his talent on his display.

Every team with a young QB should be going after. Like the Cardinals, Jets, Bills, Browns, Bears, and Titans.

**** the haters.

I love me some Mr. Big Chest. I would be McLovin' it to have him on my NFL team.

the great part about it is that we will get to see. i feel like it's rare to really get to see who makes who in this league. he will probably go somewhere with an unproven qb and see if he can handle the poor throws and decisions that come with that..

maybe not if the packers are actually interested, ive seen their first and Cobb floated by some talking heads which would be quite a haul for the steelers as ab keeps tanking his value.

Raiders have three firsts - gotta think they would seriously consider giving up one

or it could become the battle of the Grudens

Raiders had a lot of trouble featuring Cooper who we can see was ultra talented and quite young with the Raiders is now looking great again with the Cowboys. Why would things suddenly improve with AB? Is Carr magically going to return to his form from years ago? I don’t really trust Steelers wrs after they leave the Steelers in the Ben era. Sanders seems to be the outlier. AB is likely better than them all but how much is he really worth when he’s 32+ and quite disgruntled.

I don't think he do well there, but as a Steeler fan, hope he goes there for a 1 pick

Ben is one of the best deep ball passers ever and Carr was having games with like no passes over 15 yards or something?

I rate AB as the best WR of the last 10 years at least, even ahead of Calvin.

I really hope he goes to a decent team. Really don’t think (but am expecting) some kind of douchey holdout on arrival at his new team too.

I don't think anyone is denying AB is 1 of the best WR's ever, perhaps the best of this era.

But he's 31, just played in a pass happy offense with a very good QB and still wasn't happy. You wanna give up a 1st rounder for a WR on the wrong side of 30 with character questions? I actually like the Packers suggestion because that is the type of team that should do it. Maybe with Rodgers he would stay happy and give you a few more elite seasons.

For a team like the Raiders that is throwing away 2019 in Oakland anyway and still in rebuild mode, that seems like it has disaster written all over it.

Yeah, not sure I see a lot of those situations ending well.

Don't agree w/ all of it and it is a somewhat fantasy-centric article but some good points/stats in here.

I would give up a first rounder for the next three years of AB at these prices if I had a top QB.

Rams just gave up a 1st rounder for Brandon Cooks and paid him more than this and he’s half the player Brown is.

I think the Browns should get him

GB makes most sense for AB. Rodgers and AB have similar windows, they have cap and 2 1sts. Offer a 1st and 2nd for AB and a 2020 1st.

Bucs gave Donovan Smith 3/$41.25m/$27m. Someone, I think it was Barnwell, mentioned that someone was going to massively overpay him.

Apparently the Bucs tagged him ($14.1m), & the full $27m of guarantees is the 1st 2 seasons, so the 3rd year is like a team option I guess? Regardless, it's a fairly disastrous contract for a bad LT. Bucs are an impressive combo of terrible team & lack of cap space.

Trent Brown's gonna get RICH.

& the Patriots will get the 99th pick in the 2020 draft or whatever...for someone they traded the 2018 95th pick for & also got back #143.

So...

Give up 95
Get 99, 143, 1 year of Trent Brown for $1.9m.

Cooks turned 25, ab will be 31. You guys continue to ignore age and overrate past production when you’re paying for future production. I’d only take ab in the right situations and the raiders clearly aren’t it. I’d expect a moss like tenure in Oakland.

Agree...would imagine if the offers are close that Pitt would rather send him to a more purgatory like place tho.
