Too often for me. They should have kept Rosen. Didn't get enough in return to justify trading the highest upside/cheapest backup QB ITL.
The return doesn't matter if they go 3-13 with Rosen at QB. Rosen didn't appear to have the type of attitude/personality where he could handle the given situation...he would have eventually melted down in some manner.

If someone offered say a 2nd + 3rd prior to draft then they should have traded Rosen rather than hoping for a 1st....but by all accounts the best potential offer was a rumored 2nd round pick, so they didn't lose much if anything by waiting besides some bad press for Keim. No clue how the negotiations on "no baseball" were going at the same time which could have been a factor.

As it is now if these picks can actually pan out in a Air Raid type Kingsbury offense, Cards have had a solid draft to now have a sick and fun offense to watch.

Kyler at QB
Fitz, Christian Kirk, Hakeem Butler, Andy Isabella at WR
Rickey Seals-Jones at TE
David Johnson at RB
O-line is still a key issue but a mobile QB will be a huge help.

Defense should be decent now that they ditched the idiot from last year.

Seriously, is there anyone out there who expected Renfrow to go to a team *other* than the Patriots?

Teams still drafting punters and kickers in rounds you can still find decent players I see. lol RB's sure and Snell's metrics aren't great but lol drafting a punter over a guy who produced in college.

Pats taking Stidham over Renfrow is the classic old school mistake BB makes quite a bit.

Elite pick
List of QB's the patriots have drafted since Tom Brady

2019--Jared Stidham. He's not any good.

2016 3rd rd Jacoby Brissett--traded for Phillip Dorsett in a I'll trade the guy I don't want that I drafted for the one you don't anymore move. He's a backup.

2014 2nd rd Jimmy Garoppolo--traded to SF for less than the Cards just got for Rosen and teams actually wanted Jimmy G. Pick is still inconclusive.

2011 3rd rd Ryan Mallett--highly touted in the media but fell and was a reason for that. Traded for a 7th rounder later.

2010 7th Zac Robinson--who cares

2008 3rd rd Kevin O'Connell--straight up bust

2005 7th Matt Cassell, obviously worked out later trading him for a 2nd and ended up a backup for awhile. He didn't play in college though.

2003 6th Klif Kingsbury--1/2 for 17 yards, well that's about how his head coaching career is gonna go.

2002 4th Rohan Davey--I have no idea who the f that guy is either.

in other words--BB can't evaluate QB's worth **** and this is the classic mistake teams in the draft make, they use valuable picks they could get contributors with instead they pick someone to just ride the bench (hi carolina this year). If you're using a 3rd on a guy you hope is on the bench, you ****ed up.

133 is a 3rd now? 133rd is barely a 4th (128 before comps)

Walter football is so annoying. The dude has to mention every prediction he got right.

"I predicted this player would be taken with this pick in one of my 10,000 mock drafts this year. I am very smart."

Who cares? The draft is highly overrated. The amount of talent teams give up in proven players for unknown is always baffling to me.

The things the Pats have that most teams don't is knowing how to get the most out of their talent. NFL players fail all the time because of poor coaching. If you fail on the Pats, you probably aren't good enough to be in the NFL.

And who cares what they've done with drafting QBs? They only now have to start looking to find a replacement for Brady. Those last two on your list are potentially NFL level QBs. Garoppolo would've been perfect if Brady actually fell off.

And pretty weird to take a shot at the Pats when the Giants just drafted a QB that is probably on the same level talent wise.

Washington having an ok draft with these to picks!

Montez Sweat - Grade A+ longest edge rusher with huge hands and elite athleticism. Will make more plays than Bosa in the NFL but might have less sacks. Has generational talent upside

Cole Holcomb - A+ best ILB in this draft. Elite measurables and he jumps out at you on his tape. Lol at him not getting a combine invite. He's going to make the pro bowl.

Exciting to see a fellow Dane drafted (Froholdt for NE) and only the second in history! I've seen some interviews and he helped cover SB on Danish TV and he seems like such a mature and humble person.
