Is it just me, or is his release sort of slow and noodlie?

According to Rapoport & Garofolo & some others, it's not a done deal at all & Miami thinks a 2nd round pick is too much to pay.

I guess the Cards leaked the deal hoping teams would pay more than the Dolphins 2nd, & the Dolphins countered in hopes of paying less.

for such a "hot" commodity like rosen, nobody is interested in buying him for anything significant.

wtf how is a 2nd rounder too much for a 22 yr old QB that was drafted #10 just last year and showed signs of being good.

If Rosen was in the draft this year, I am sure that teams would consider shipping their 1st round pick or 2nd round pick from next year to move up to draft him (he most certainly is the #2 QB drafted if he was in this years draft.)

Is it simply a case of known commodity vs surprise of what you can get (in which case insert Family Guy gif of boat vs gifted box.)

Cards have 0 leverage now. By drafting the Midget, everyone knows that they need to get rid of Rosen. There are other QBs available and teams like Miami can just say the price is too high.

Apparently, they didn't even actively try and trade Rosen until little before the pick. That's just stupid.

Haskins isn't terrible but he needs time and I don't see the Skins sitting him for a year. He's going to start week 1 and that's going to be tough. Hope I'm wrong.

Rosen > Haskins so ideally the Skins could have drafted Sweat at 15 + traded their second for Rosen. Then they still have next years 2nd with arguably a better QB. If Haskins ends up being better than Rosen and a top 10ish QB its fine though.

Do you think the Cards were turning down first round pick offers left and right from teams like the Skins and Giants before the draft?

When asked about Rosen Skins HC Jay Gruden said "He's not available".

Jfc watching the gettlemen press conference. How the **** is he the gm for a franchise in a top market jfc? As someone who lives in Philly, I love it. Shurmur looks confused as ****. Gettlemen is just a troll. If Jones sits 3 years, Shurmur and gettlemen will be fired probably before the end of next season.

I'm saying maybe you can say something leans one way or another. I have no opinion on the Cowboys draft or lack of draft.

As bad as gettleturd is, I've still got Steve Keim as more vulnerable aorn.

Man if the Chiefs could trade up and get Greedy somehow - that would be awesome. A lot of Chiefs pundits were doubting he'd even be there at 29.

Honey Badger will get him into shape and teach him how to tackle.

Cole Holcomb just as good as Devin Bush. Steelers could have stayed put and grabbed him.

Texans are going to regret taking Tytus Howard instead of Kaleb McGary. Falcons hit a homerun there.

Clenlin Ferrell isn't going to bust but Oliver should have been the pick. Everybody that passed on him besides AZ and SF are going to regret it.

Guys I like still available not in order (no WR/RB/TE/QB listed but theres some good ones out there)

DL Chase Winovich
ILB Cole Holcomb
OLB Blake Cashman
CB Kendall Sheffield
CB Isaiah Johnson
CB Greedy Williams
S Juan Thornhill
OL Erik McCoy

What would it generally take for the Chiefs to trade up from 61 to the top 5 tonight - another second? More?

teams want their qb to be the leader. supposedly rosen is -10, on a 100 point scale when it comes to leadership.

I understand trying to maximize value and playing the whole negotiation game. Hopefully at the end of the day they just ship a 2nd if that's what it takes.

Its the infamous GM trifecta:

1. Needs to be a LEADER OF MEN
2. Needs to be TALL
3. Needs to be a quarterback and not a runner*

I don't know why you guys think Daniel Jones was a reach.

Daniel Jones pick six is perfect.

All the old timey guys are like "he looks like peyton/eli manning" yeah that's because they all had the same college coach. Production wise isn't remotely close and that's without adjusting for era.

I'm surprised at all the high grades I'm seeing for Miami's pick. Is it me overestimating the talent they have at the position already? Is it me underestimating the talent of the pick? Is it me overstating how much help they need at OL and DE?

I've seen multiple A+ reports.

Best post of the night was when someone said "Daniel Jones looks like who they'd cast as Eli in a movie about Peyton"
