Throw Miles in the starting lineup and I reallllllly like the defensive core of Otto-Miles-Embid. Otto and Embid can cover for Miles lack of height at the 4. LMA would feast on second units.

I'll grab Tristain Thompson. Yes, he's overpaid and a d-bag but he is a 6th round pick on my team and can help defend the rim if need be, is decent at switching, and can even play next to STAPS. Staps big weakness is rebounding but he can defend the rim and space so Thompson is sort of a perfect guy for him.

I’ll take Bam. Hopefully he gets more minutes when undrafted is moved. He had a very good rookie year in limited minutes and is similar to bell who I wanted but likely less great defensively but has a lot of minutes available going forward for the Heat.

I will take an excellent offensive rebounder (6th in the league), good at rim finisher (83rd percentile efficiency among bigs), and part time anchor for the #5 defense (92nd percentile block rate among bigs). Obv he spends half his time playing vs backups (though he closed quite a few Raptors games), but his efficiency was pretty intense: 1.33 pps (point per shot, probably a stat we should cite more often), good for 97th percentile among bigs. Knows his role, and should be awesome playing 25 mpg and never closing for us!

As far as 6th round facsimiles for Capela go, that's a pretty darn good one (would have been a very close decision between him and Bam). Let Harden do his silly stepbacks, let Jak chase the offensive rebound and sprint back on D (with the fervor that few guys in the NBA do)

edit: At this point my team is prob better than last year's Rockets. Quality of this league should be flatter, but ultimately a lot softer at the top

Marcus shot 36% on 4.3 3PA per game. He is a cold blooded chucker who gives instant offense off the bench. He can't resist taking guys one on one and when he's hot, he hits some miracle shots. He's a solid rebounder who plays hard so we can live with some of his poor shot selection.

What Marcus lacks in skill, he makes up for in bravado and swag. We got this gem in the playoffs, "I’m a little older, a little more experienced. Personally, I think I’m probably the best guy defending him (the King) in the league, outside of Kawhi." (Marcus Morris 2018)
