I dunno, this feels pretty over. Cavs at home and put up 86 in the 1st half. Would take an epic collapse and I don't see Bron letting that happen.

I'm good with that but it's the slurping that seems to forget the super bad that annoys me. Plenty of elite offensive players on bad teams that can wreck shop.

Lebron is on pace for a 40-point triple-double (well quite a bit more than that, currently on pace for 44/16/12) - this has only been accomplished once before in finals history. By Lebron James in 2015.

Pretty simple - the Cavs are great with Lebron in and Kyrie out. The Cavs are not so great with Lebron out and Kyrie in.

It's at least partly a reaction to the over the top hate he gets when he struggles. It's very similar to the treatment Wade got while Bron was in Miami.

I know someone hinted at this but you do understand that almost the entirety of kyrie-slurping comes from the same band of Lebron haters who are trying to diminish Lebron's accomplishments by exaggerating the help he gets, right?

Also, Kyrie is not even their second best player - Love is. I'll concede that Kyrie has elite talent but is far too mistake-prone and contributes nothing when his shots aren't falling in. Love isn't as flashy but his decision-making and effort are much more consistent and is nearly as good offensively when the offense flows through him.

Oh I agree.

Everyone has to push a narrative. Somebody always has to be a slanker. Somebody always has to be the GOAT. And it changes literally game to game.

Durant has been amazing every game of the finals, but if he misses six shots in a row in the second half, we'll get twenty posts about how he is gutless. And if Kyrie opens next game with a 1 for 10, we'll hear about how he is a complete bum.

It's ridiculous. Of the 20 best players in the NBA, not a single one is a slanker.
