Yeah the best part is 72 posted like I'm laughing he's going to ****ing China over city or something which is ******ed

Still torn on L'equipe. I read nearly all the rumors and they seem to report stuff equally as stupid as the others. Maybe it's true but I guess I'm in the camp that thinks 3-4 clubs bidding world record amts is bs at this point.

nah, i was just using City as an example of a European club that might buy him, just because they can

not even really sure who else would meet Dortmund's price there

Paulinho, who's not sure about it, some Lucas Lima guy (ex bf of Neymar's sister), Deulofeu doesn't want to go back and they want to pay like haf the price PSG is asking for Verratti, just because. #dreamsummer

The Guardian are also reporting that City are increasingly confident of signing Sanchez for a potential fee of £50m, despite Arsenal’s reluctance to sell.

It is thought the 28-year-old favours a move to the Etihad because of his desire to play under Pep Guardiola.

Only £50m??? Ridiculous! Torres was sold to Chelsea for £58.5m in 2011 ...

I don't think losing Alexis would be the disaster that some people make it out to be, but selling him for an amount like that to a direct rival is ludicrous. Fans would riot.

I think City might be better off spending that money on Van Dijk or another defender anyway.

Looks like Michael Keane's move to Everton is almost done. Will be a hard act to follow.

I think you are quite alone with this one

Losing your best player is always a disaster. When that player is also in the convo for best player in the league doubly so.

How bad is it when your best player is the best player you have had at the club since the 1980's and you then spend the transfer fee on a 33 year old defender and a 29 year old winger that is good at set pieces and diving? Asking for a friend (I wish).

I am sure we have another one off the production line for you. Have you tried bidding for Fosu-Mensah?

Yes Sanchez is really good, otoh, Arsenal is not gonna be in danger of relegation, they'll be fighting for top 4 just like last year

Which is a problem. Either try to be good enough to fight for titles or don't, but being in that mediocre middle really helps no one.

arsenal's long term strategy of selling the best player in the league every 3 or 4 years is really suspect imo

With Alexis we have a chance to win the title If a few pieces are falling the right way, plus very good chance of finishing in the top4.
W/o him pretty much zero chance of the title and top4 a very, very hard task too.

Keeping him and Özil is #1 priority, period.
#2 trying to add another player on their level(which is an extremely hard task too)
still think Mahrez could be that player btw

Yea Arsenal should definitely try and sign Mahrez. I reckon he'd look great in a side with a lot of final third possession. He's still one of the best touch players in the league.

He'd presumably play wide for Arsenal?

I think Mahrez represents value in the current market.

He wouldn't be first on my list of Spurs signings, but I agree with Consty he'd be a decent for most of the top 6.
