United spending over 200m on Matic, Lukaku, that CB and that old winger from Inter would warm the cockles of my heart.

All of these players are clear upgrades on what we already have bar Perisic who looks like he's being brought in to provide different tactical options. Lukaku and Matic are the best we could have hoped for and I trust Mourinho when it comes to signing defenders.

He's said a few times in pre season he's looking to use a 3-5-2 system and played it in a couple of games including the 2nd half tonight. He can use the system to play Rahsford/Lakuku up top and if all the reports are true and Ibra wants to play for us next season then Lukaku/Ibra.

Mourinho probably doesn't feel the wide player can contribute enough goals so wouldn't surprise me if Perisic is being brought in to play as a LWB.
