I understand your point

what I was trying to say is here is a guy who used a traditional defense that is rated well to shut down one of the most potent offenses and new offensive schemes sweeping the landscape. He is one of very, very few to stop a spread offense with a less talented team.

The Panthers defense was solid most the year---Navy game being the exception

PITT stopping WVU was shocking

might be looking for a guy with a plan to take on the WVU and Florida on Auburn's future

Gators dominating, 4* Adrian Bushnell, 4* LB Ramon "Cookie" Buchanan are committed. This will spring them to #3 at Rivals tomorrow(FWIW).

A recruit publicly stated that 2 of these 3 are committed as well:
Omar Hunter
William Green
Julio Jones

Omar stated that he is 95% committed, and JJ is still here until tomorrow so we could have all 3 & be basically done(awaiting perhaps Jamie Harper, 5* RB) and passing ND as the #1 class before it's said and done. Pretty amazing considering we have the best kicker & 1 fullback who can only be 3* and no QB.

What a finish!

Seriously, every Sooners, Gators, and Tide fan on message boards is adamant that JJ is coming to their school. I'm really interested to see where he goes.

Looks like we'll have to turn away 4* TJ Lawrence to Spurrier & the ***** because we'll be full at 24 commits if JJ pulls the trigger. We may save the final ship for next year if JJ doesn't.

I didn't make it very clear. I think he is going to OU(from what I'm reading). I just said that we COULD have all 3 committed.

No you said 2/3 and I saw it. I wasn't giving you crap or anything, I have just seen a lot of talk from those 3 schools. I've never been a big recruiting guy and Bama hasn't been bringing in (or in the running for) big time guys like this. I mean Tebow was a big name but I always thought he'd go to UF.

I know you weren't, I was just clarifying. Should be interesting.

I still like this chick better. Did you ever see the chick that Brodie Croyle dated? If you could think up with the most gorgeous southern belle blonde, that's her.

And to think he hangs with hotter girls than that...
People still say he is a good Christian and is remaining a Virgin, but how the ****?

His life must be horrible...

Omar Hunter has canceled his UGA visit & is all Gator. Looks like we'll close with him & William Green + 1 other(maybe). Should be the #1 class per Rivals.

JJ looks to be all OU(maybe Bama). Our insiders say that the staff & JJ spoke and he won't be in this class. Obviously we wanted him bad, but they aren't going to press him the rest of the way.

Because of not really killing for another WR(see JJ above), USCe fans should expect to get TJ Lawrence.

Well I know I said that DeAndre Brown was probably headed to Ole Miss, but he cancelled his visit there. Must be the coaching shake up. Anyway, if he qualifies (fairly large if), he should be headed to LSU. This kid is not blazing fast but should be very good.

And in the longshot category: Terelle Pryor is going to officially visit LSU in a few days. We are his last school. I just hope he likes crawfish and jambalaya. There is a lot of speculation that he and Patrick Johnson are tight, and this is helping our cause.

UF & LSU are hats on the table for Pryor IMO.

Would there be room on the team bus for both the Perrilloux and Pryor egos?

There you go. Sorry, but I'm pretty sure UF is out.

Barry: I think RP has matured quite a bit. But you never know how personalities can clash.

Is there any way to find out what guys were rated star wise out of HS? I'm wondering about Brodie Croyle.

I don't think Rivals goes back that far, but he was a SuperPrep All American so probably a top 10 QB & a 4* or 5*

Right, so there may or may not have been any start ratings at that time, probably exclusive to some magazines at the time. Not familiar with the history of it all.

SO...Patrick Johnson has accused Urban Meyer & UF of being the reason he can't enroll at LSU in the Spring, because of UM/UF flagging his ACT scores. Even if they did, seems pretty reasonable to me. You don't have the score, you can't get in.

What a moron. It's because his scores got flagged when trying to come to UF, so the NCAA found out about it. He'd probably be a Gator if he could of got in.

Disheartening enough that SOME kids can get away with not having proper scores if the Universities aren't being honest and flagging these kids. Just another hole in the NCAA system. Sad enough LSU has lesser admission requirements.

Wow. Dude, please. This is like adding 2 and 2 and coming up with 17. I've heard of sour grapes, but you have never struck me as that kind of fan. I've never thought of you as the Kool Aid drinking type. Please don't start now.

I actually disbelieved the rumors that UM flagged his score, but now it seems to be common knowledge.

God Fulmer needs to go. I could go on and on about things that happened in Gibbs the one year I lived there.

Just to clarify (past the edit time) he DID make his ACT score. What UM and Florida challenged was whether that score was legit. Basically, they accused the kid of cheating. And from my (admittedly limited) understanding, they did it because he chose LSU.
