Goodbye Alvin Banks and Andre Wadsworth
Why goodbye Alvin Banks? I went to JMU and watched Alvin Banks for nearly his entire career. The kid is good and fast, if he can stay injury free.

No. I'm so lame, I graduated in '02 and live in NoVa and I haven't been to a football game there in 2 years. Haha. I think the last game I saw was in 2005 against Villanova.

Anytime they have been on CN8 (or on ESPN in the playoffs) I will watch the game at whatever bar the Metrodukes pick or with some fellow JMU Alum's (Tyler Durden, Mantooth, etc). Definitely trying to get down there for Homecoming this year.

And yeah, this should be an interesting year. No Rascati, only 11? returning starters...

I'm digging this new CAA TV schedule though.

Well the fuss is that he went to a few posters here college. Being an Division I-FCS school we generally don't get to see alot of our football players go on to the NFL. So when they have a chance to make a roster we root for them pretty hard.

Anyway, having depth at running back is important. Running backs get injured (hell Thomas Jones got injured yesterday in practice). Having a decent 3rd running back option is a good idea. Even if Banks makes the team I highly doubt he steals carries from TJ or Leon.

hey, wh1t, didn't know u lived in the DC area...know any good spots to watch jets games?? i'm still fairly new to the area and haven't found any good bars/spots for the jets??

3rd back is always nice to have to have, especially since a 2 back system is getting fairly standard these days...

wth, get revis in camp already damnit, this team needs all the help it can get in the beginning of the season...

i know you play nose bleed stakes (right? or do i have you confused with someone else? haha), but it might be fun to play a busto-stakes game with college kids ;-)

Will do. I suck at poker. So I won't mind donating money to poor college kids.

No. Haven't found a Jets bar. I've had Sunday Ticket the past couple of years so I've been watching games at home. I don't have DirecTV anymore though

If you find something let me know.

Wes and I had a JMU student at our table at the Borgata last weekend, he said there's a good 1-2 NL game in South View. We should find it.

Comments on Thomas Jones injury?

Also, Jets games are all sold out to season tickets, I just got nosebleed tickets to opening day for $200 a piece...but I used stars fpps for stubhub gift certificates so whatever.

According to Rosenhaus its a calf strain and he's week-to-week. He'll play opening week.

not too worried about jones missing much time, but if he does, opening against the pats and ravens is gonna be even less fun than already...

Do you think they can get him ready for the Patriots game?

^^who knows how long it will take him to get into game shape, or more importantly, learn the playbook...

also, i don't think the coaching staff is going to be thrilled with his holdout, so he's prolly well behind in his bid for a starting spot on opening day

Our corners are very bad (sans Dyson). Revis cannot be any worse. I say he sees the field quite a bit on week 1.

There is no doubt in my mind Revis gets alot of playing time against the Pats week 1. They might pull some shenanigans like sitting him the 1st quarter or something, but he'll be out there. Especially if Miller and Coleman are still banged up. There is no way we go into that game with Dyson, Poteat and Barrett. No way.

Apparantly the 6/36 is a really complicated contract. So who knows how much of that is guaranteed. He got top 10, maybe even top 8 money. The Jets got the 6th year (which they really wanted so that they can definitely avoid having a situation where they might lose Brick or Revis due to only having 1 franchise tag).

I really question though why it took this long to get this done?

The Star Ledger is saying that Kendall is here to stay. Even with his big mouth and m******* attitude. I don't necessarily think the Jets FO should give in and re-negotiate a contract that they just reworked last offseason. But they shouldn't be treating Kendall like a rookie FA either and making him work out at center and with the 2nd team offense, etc. Sounds pretty juvenile.
