yeah without a doubt some team is going to give up a s load for him (which is understandable with how many bad QB's are out there) and he will go to another team and be slightly above average IMO (No Welker or Moss) Thing is if you put him on a team like the vikings that is close, he could take them to the next level. The Pats are def going to get value for him though, I heard possibly KC for a 2nd, 3rd (in 2010) and Brandon Flowers, I would do that in a heartbeat.

Yeah this was also discussed on the radio that the story to Curran could have been a plant. But then someone pointed out that would the Patriots go this far with with deception and risk pissing off Brady.

And while I would say they probably wouldn't, who really knows. It looks likely they will franchise Cassell either way. So if you see them franchise and trade Cassell, good bet Brady is good to go. But if they franchise and hold onto Cassel, that means Brady isn't going to be ready.
