why does fulltilt allow bots?

my buddy is still botting on fulltilt and it pisses me off that the text on fulltilt is so easy to read for bots, while pokerstars uses an encrypted text system so that programs can't read the text. Does anyone else get annoyed by this? I hate stars but i just dont like how it seems that fulltilt lets botters play so they can get rake.

Wrong, you can get a dll to scrape for text in a given area of a program quite easily then get the bot to send a command to the text area. I'm sure there are just as many bots on Pokerstars than on FullTilt, it's a step in the right direction but still not foolproof.

Either your mate has a losing bot or doesn't play very often. But suspicious behaviour like timed actions and long sessions with no breaks, to name but a few, are picked up by the poker networks eventually.

Surely one could easily program a Random Login/logout time, random break/sitout times, random 1-5 second action time.

Unless someone makes it absolutely obvious I don't see how the poker sites can differentiate between the guys playing 20-35 tables with something like TableNinja and someone running a computer program that runs 20-35 tables.

i think you would see more bots on pokerstars if they would quit penalizing optimal play
