I PM'd the SNG Wiz rep on here and asked him to please change the way you can put in hand ranges of people; the current way doesn't allow you to put in/or take out specific hands. He replied they have no plans of doing so and that no really wants this which I disagree (the reason why I made this thread).

This doesn't make sense b/c not everyone shoves/calls the same hands at a specific range; some shove SCs instead of K2o/Q3o/J4o hands and vice versa (that 54% range can be made up of totally different hands when you look at it)

Personally I think they should change it to make it more user-friendly and allow to input exact hands into SNG Wiz. You watch any training video that uses SNG Wiz and they will say they wish they could input/take out exact hands.

I know this seems biased but this is something I think they should have done in the first place.

This is like asking if you want cheese on your hamburger. Obviously the tools will allow this at some point but it is both harder to program and more intensive for the processing (as I understand things). With SNGWiz have this capability eventually, maybe. If yes, then weeeee. If no, then someone else will implement it in their program and people will stop using SNGWiz.

FWIW, you can do this on your own if you are willing to spend the time to. It is faster if you use SNGWiz than without it, but it does require some math/spreadsheets/whatever and knowledge of how to find the answer. Basically the way I do it is to count combos, use the equities in Wiz, estimate FE etc as appropriate to determine possibilities of each outcome, and input the equity the hand has vs it.

This can be performed with StoxEVCardRunnersEV.

I think the reason why SNGWiz aren't interested in implementing this is the difficulty to do it; their equities are precalculated which makes the results speedy. Allowing you to construct exact ranges means that result would have to be done on-demand, which would be very slow and would really change how the program is to be used.

Concerning speed: Its obviously considerably slower than using pre-calculated equities, but for Wiz's usage results should still be ready w/o noticeable delay. (Computational complexity of a Wiz calculation is roughly equivalent to a single Nash iteration, i think.)
