Have you tried a different VM solution such as parallels, bootcamp, etc?

I prefer bootcamp. It's free with the MAC, you can devote all of your resources to Windows/Mac and it works fine. I haven't tried VB on a MAC, but have used it to run HM on Windows.

i can get it to take and accept my password on vb but its postgresql thats the pain. support jus send me generic emails saying follow try this etc

I've tried turning windows fire wall off, diff network adapters for vb, deleting certain files they tell you to amongst other things

any body any ideas ?

its basically to run hem (obv) and ipoker

not tried bootcamp yet tho because i can get ipoker working fine using vb. can i use bootcamp for both maybe thats the answer?

I don't have any MAC experience personally but with bootcamp you should be able to run windows then both ipoker and HM would work in windows like it was a normal PC. Is your postgresql installed in the VB and not in the MAC OS?

PT3's default name/password is - postgres/dbpass
HM's default name/password is - postgres/postgrespass

You might also want to try svcPASS83 for a password if none of the above works.

If that doesnt help, see if this helps:

1. Go to C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\8.x\data, move the the pg_hba file to your Desktop and open it with notepad.
2. Scroll to the bottom and change all md5 to trust. Save and close the file
3. Move the file back to the data folder
4. Restart the PostgreSQL service: Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services

HM will accept any password now.
