My computer tends to sieze up when I multitable NL ring games at stars. This doesnt happen when I multitable SNGs or non-holdem games.

Im running PT, PAHUD and a couple windows of IE. THere are no issues whatsoever when im not playing NL ring games, and there are consistant problems when I play ring games, today I had 5 NL ring games open and I timed out at all of my tables 4 or 5 times in one hour.

Anybody run into this / no whats wrong? Maybe PT is importing too often?

Having the "Auto-Rate on import" selected will slow down PT a lot - if this is checked, uncheck it and see if that doesn't fix the problem.

IIRC it's only used for ring games too, so that would explain why it only happens there.

that would be an excellent explanation. Unfortunately I dont have that box checked (in fact I dont rate players at all)

Are you running multiple "Windows" (instances) of IE, or are you using multiple "Tabs" in the same window? Tabbed browsing uses less RAM then having multiple browser windows open. Also, I think FireFox uses less RAM than IE, but I am not positive. I haven't used IE in years.

I use multiple tabs in one window. Ive got firefox on here and would probably be willing to make the switch if it meant Id never have to deal with this, but I suspect that since this never happens when I play STTs its not a problem with IE eating up my memory.

How big is your PT DB? Is it Access or PostregSQL? Do you have PT move the Processed HH's?

I have about 300k hands in my PT DB.

I think its SQL but Im not entirely sure, where do I go to find out?

I do have PT move the processed HHs, but I often leave the auto-import window open for long periods (multiple days) at a time, so maybe the HHs are piling up?
