I was just wondering if there is an AHK script or a program that would automatically change the table background on your poker table depending on how many players currently on the table.

For example if I am playing 2x 9man SNG's, if table one is 8/9 it is the default colour background and if table two is 4/9 (bubble) then it is a different colour.

Is this even possible and if so does it exist already?

I am used to tiling tables but am then limited. The biggest issue I have when stacking it the constant adjustment needed for every action. When tiling my brain can say to itself "ok time to reset as we are moving 3 inches to the right". But when stacking obvious there is no movement and my brain says "lolgg" (yes I know I am stoopido)

It is problematic, there are focus steals and dialog boxes to be handled changing the background on Stars - so doing it automagically is not ideal.

best bet is to change them manually when you spot a bubble / final table, here is a script that makes changing them a single click: http://www.overcards.com/wiki/moin.cgi/SimpleModManager

no doubt it could be modified to read the info box and change the background itself, but that's gonna mess up focus badly and defeat the purpose of efficient stacking.

Thanks for the suggestion dave. What about screen scraping? Would that now allow it to be done by good spec PCs much like programs like table of interest?

I also remember on the old pokershorcuts (full tilt shortcuts) that it used to display how many people were on the table. I assume this was screen scrapped or just used the previous hand data from the HH. This would likely only work on STT and not MTTSNGs.

It's the actual changing of the background that will cause trouble - try the script (or just try setting the background / theme manually), you will see there are IIRC two pop-up dialogs that need handled to execute the change. If you get that happening while you are trying to make a bet on a table, it's gonna be annoying!

getting the info is easy, no problems there. as you say last hand text is good for single tables and can give bang up to date data, info box is useful for MTT with frequent refreshes.

I am not on my poker PC so I cannot test it atm but I understand what you mean.

It is a shame that TN for stars and FT does not display on the HUD the number of players left if it is so simple to get the data esp when FTS used to do this way before. It is not as clear as a colour change, but would still assist you when playing many tables.
