Oops, forgot about that.

So if we have both AJand AJs in the input, is it okay if we just remove AJs from the input? That is easier than removing the suited combos from the AJ section of the output...

Okay, interesting read. Theoretically, I think I could calculate the linear hand strenght, althought it might be really slow (and quite complex to code I suppose).
I was just thinking out loud really. It's prob not worth the trouble tbh, LHS is of limited value in practice anyway.

But you know what, now that I think about it PokerManager has a small built-in LHS calculator. I wonder if Ben would be willing to share that code since PM's pretty much dead anyway. It also had an "average next card LHS" output, which was pretty cool. iirc it was pretty quick.

That would be fine w/ me. I would just like to be able to select hands of specific suits if the select option becomes available, for flush draw analysis and what not.

Even if he shares it, I doubt I'm smart enough to figure out how to call it from AHK. I actually just downloaded poker-eval, but I have no clue how to use it

Yeah, I don't either. I *think* it's just for specific hand matchups, so I dunno how useful it would be anyway.

Oh, something I forgot to mention, and again I don't know how difficult this would be to add, is allowing specific suits in the input box. eg. {JJ+, AhKh}, if say I know opp won't lead w/o a flush draw or w/e. Not that big a deal in this example, but for broader distributions.

Anyway, other than the totals error this tool has been a big help. Thanks again to Ro and the OP.

Okay, I'll think about it. Seems to me that it would also be useful to be able to input, say AhKx - correct?

As for the totals error - I thought I fixed that, did you download again? Maybe I only imagined fixing it (too many projects...).

Good idea.

Oh, no, I just checked the date and it was still the 17th. I'll try now.

Yeah, it's still double-counting those suited hands.

Specific hand input, as Curious alluded to, would be very helpful. There are certain situations where you will be continuing with, say, T9 w/ a backdoor flushdraw but folding all other T9's. Being able to account for that would be very helpful.

It also might be nice to be able to input a range like A2-A7 with one command rather than typing each hand out individually. This comes into play when dealing with turn and river situations usually. Oftentimes you will be dealing with a distribution that has trimmed out the higher end and kept the lower end around. It would be nice to be able to type this in quickly.

Thanks Again

I just plain forgot to put the new code up on the wiki. Sorry.
It should work now.

Any syntax suggestions? How about 'A7-'?

Might as well make it PStove compatible- A7s-A2s,A7o-A2o

edit: oh, that is kind of annoying to type out, I guess I'm thinking of using it w/ cut n' pasted distributions from PStove. Maybe you could make it accept both the above and just A7-A2.

BUMP

Got this working but have 2 questions:

Cannot get the card icons to show even though I saved the zip-file into same directory. Solution?

Hand range goes to "Hands" and board card to "Board". "Hands" is the villains range, but I also know my own cards which affect the combos. Do I put my own cards into "Board" so does it work with more than 5 community cards ie with 7 cards?
