I am trying to find out a way to create a program, script, whatever, which allows to simulate poker games. The idea is that the "players" be able to do actions (raise, fold, call...) based on a pre-loaded strategy with given ranges, characters, etc. But I guess I am not the first guy who thinks on this. Does someone know if there is already a similar project in progress?

Turbo Texas Holdem will let you do this for limit, but afaik there is no equivalent for NL.

Poker Academy is what you look for.

You can't really tune anything in Poker Academy apart from a couple of slider bars and since the NL "bots" play nothing like even uNL players there is no way to do any real/helpful simulation with it (plus you have to do ******ed things like make yourself sit in the game with a stack of zero... It was never designed with simulation in mind).

The great thing about TTH was that you could setup your own strategies as decision trees from within the interface and then set it off running tons of simulations to get an idea of the EV. It wasn't perfect and could be a bit weak-tight, but I did manage to use it successfully to help tune my game.

It's a pity that TTH died off as it really could be quite helpful for stuff like this and the guy had obviously spent alot of time working on it.
