Not what he was asking. He wants to see all villains 'last x hands' in the stats, for players already in his DB with many hands. What you described is for new players at the table that arent in your DB, so you wont see stats until they have played a few orbits.

Can Pt3 display HUD stats when replaying hands or is there a 3rd party software tool to do this?

PT3 still doesnt have HUD stats in the replayer? Holdem Manager FTW.

I am building new databases from hand history files using PT2. When I go to select files to import is only lets me pick about 20 files at a time or it gives me an error.

Would I be accomplishing the same thing by auto-importing these files.. and changing the poker stars hand history folder location to the folder I have the files stored in?

^ ActionFreak,

Sure, that should work. Importing is importing. It might take a while, just give it time and it should work.

You can set up a generic auto-import as well. You still have to be careful to not import too many at once with PT2. HEM or PT3 would be a whole lot faster and easier. I just reformatted last night and will be reimporting my HEM database today also.

How do I delete HEM databases? Don't see it under Database Management.

What's the best way to backup my entire Vista system? I want everything, all settings, files, databases, and would like for it to be mostly automated if possible. I've got a lot of important stuff that I really can't afford to lose, and would like to backup daily. I used to just go through and drag everything to a hard drive (ridiculous, I know). I could post a thread in CTH but since this is a pretty basic question and I figure someone here will have good advice...

Edit: I need EVERYTHING. For example, HEM notes are real important. Do I get those if I just backup my dbs or are they separate/do I need to export them every time/is there a file I can just backup?

I use AllWay sync for daily, incremental backup copies of actual data. I sync my poker sites and tracker folders, my sql directory, and all my graphics/music/data. I also sync my docs&settings folder (which grabs my desktop and some various app settings/prefs).

I just reformatted yesterday and used my copies to be able to restore my settings for my sites/trackers. I also export my hands from hem so they are within the HEM program folder sync. I just use those exported hands (and previous archives) to rebuild my DB by reimporting. I do backup my sql DB thru pgadmin, but I have never had the ambition to attempt the restore process. I hope the hem notes are just part of the config folder, because I forgot to export my notes from the hem hud options before I reformatted.

If you want a true copy of everything, your actual pc state, you will want imaging software like symantec ghost or acronis true image . I just installed SelfImage and made an image of my pc after reformatting and updating and reinstalling all my apps. I amhoping to be able to restore my pc to it's current state much faster next time I have troubles. I have 10 - 14 hours invested into reformatting/reinstalling since last night, and this is my 5th reformat in 26 months of this pc.

I am going to buy a 24" Monitor with 1920 x 1200 resolution so I can tile 12-16 tables easily on Full Tilt.

My concern is that on FT right now, it only allows me to tiles 6 tables without overlap now on my Dell Latitude D620 (resolution is 1440 x 900). Isn't the 24" monitor simply going to reproduce the exact same image on my Dell meaning that I can still only tile 6 tables on the 24"?

Thanks much!

Hey I'm just coming back to poker so forgive my ignorance. Is mining on Fulltilt still allowed (by FTP)? Is Fulltilt idleminer still the best way to go with PT3?

Its been awhile and you should get this verified by someone else. I use to tile 16 tables on my 50" wide screen when I was really hardcore grinding the unl. anyway the bigger screen def did not just reproduce my screen from my laptop. may also depend on your videocard.

what you should do is def get another monitor and an awesome vid card and dual screen it. Then you will be BALLA!!!! hope that helped.

Datamining at ftp has always been against their TOS afaik. They are only now starting to try and enforce it.

1920x1200 > 1440 x 900

so you can fit more

do a search if you want to find out how many tiled tables you can fit on a 24, i dont remember

I've got a 1920x1200 24" Dell in my collection - it fits exactly 12 tables at their smallest size.

HEM notes are stored in the pgsql database. They are saved in a pgadmin backup for sure.

Fozzy you should run a pgadmin restore just to familiarize yourself with it, it is easy and super fast.

I will second Norton ghost (now symantec) is totally awesome, highly recommended for a OS partition backup. I do this, but my databases live on other disks and I only save those with pg_dump + zip - no point ghosting those, a filesystem restore is more awkward than a pg_restore for databases imo.

Thanks, dave, fozzy.

I'm taking a look at Ghost now. If I am backing up a 500 gig hd, do I just need a 500 gig backup drive? Sounds like a dumb question, but I wasn't sure if I needed a bigger backup drive due to incremental backups/restore points.

Ty.

I don't think ghost does incremental, in my usage I've only ever burnt straight to a series of DVDs - where it usually compresses at least 2:1 GB. I still run a quite old version however (norton ghost 7)

EDIT: For a 500gb HD, you won't need a similar quantity of storage space for backups unless it is already full of compressed zip/rar files that can be compressed no more. Personally I'd partition it to a say 30GB OS/program partition / 470GB data partition, then the OS could be ghosted to a couple of DVDs. I'd have a second HD for postgres databases since it pretty much doubles performance doing things that way, and just store random mp3s / avis etc. on the 470gb that I'm not so worried about backing up.

Approx how much space does a db take up? Per 1000 hands or whatever.

I just used a free app called self image (didnt feel like downloading hot copies of ghost or true image), after I reformatted 2 days ago, for my first time imaging my windows drive. Hoping to be able to restore to my current stable state much easier next time.

HEM DB's take approx 1gb per 120k hands. My 200k hand DB is ~1.8gb.
