Ive been getting into web design and development lately so Ive been looking at the design of sites alot more than I used to, as in basically never. It looks to me like some of the poker coaching sites, such as cardrunners and leggopoker are using CMS systems like joomla or drupal. Is this a correct assumption or would they have been more likely to develop all the code in house? Imo leggopoker is the best designed coaching site out there.

One other thing, Im wondering were there any other obstacles to the other sites setting up once cardrunners started the ball rolling. As in would Taylor Caby not have patented the idea for a 'poker video tutorial website' as it was a brand new idea. How were the other sites just able to copy the idea with no legal obstacles?

Would be cool if you could use a better thread title next time.
