I know there's a thread about pt3 vs hem in general, but there's not much info there about comparing the two huds which is obv one of the most important features.
Anyone who has tried/used both can give some insight on this? Pros/cons on the two?

Why not download the free trials of both products and find out which one you prefer.

well I thought that before investing many hours into messing around with different databases/setups etc I go ahead and ask those who have already done that

No way are the HUDs anywhere near the most important feature of a tracker.

Agreed. Especially with a couple alternative HUD options. Poker Observer HUD is very nice. I haven't had the pleasure of using the AHK HUD yet, cuz someone hasn't coded it to work with HM yet, AFAIK.

I have never used holdem manager, but I have always hated PAHud because its such a resource hog, the PT3 HUD is the same. I use Dave's AHK Hud and I love it. It's easy to read, and doesnt crash my computer while 24 tabling.

I haven't used PT3 in a long time so I can't comment on the current state of it. Check the PT3 thread.

I can tell you that HM HUD works great on FTP and Stars. I don't play anywhere else so I don't know about euro sites.

Just purchased HEM, and the HUD works great even for the Boss client if you use the HH Converter prior to import into HEM.

I'm a long time user of GT+ and compared to PT2 and GT+ this is a major difference.

With my old database exported from PT 2 and loaded into HEM I almost instantly get my money for the purchase back.
