(Yes I checked the older threads about this, didn't help..)

I've had to re-install Postgres and I want to use an old DB that is in an old /DATA/ folder. I stuck the old DATA folder into the proper location, then re-installed. When I do this the service will not start at all. When I use the default DATA folder everything works fine. I've put the default folder config files (pg_hba.conf, etc.. there's 5) into the old folder but it still doesn't work.

What could possibly be the issue? I went through all the stuff on the HEM FAQs but nothing worked. 4 hrs wasted imo.

thanks

Juk - this thread can be locked/deleted. OP was able to solve his problem after a bit more SQL wrangling.
