Hi, trying to install PostgreSQL to get holdem manager up and running, i'm following this guide: http://www.holdemmanager.net/Postgre...tall_Help.html

and on step #8 I get this error:

failed to open the secondary logon service: the specified service does not exist as an installed service

I don't know how to get past this...any help?

I to have this error. It would seem (in my case) that i have tweaked my vista install and removed some unessential services. Postgres requires this service, so if you have a standard install try this.

Start-> Type 'Services' in the search box, scroll down to 'Secondry login service' and change it to Automatic.

If it is not there then you may have installed a 'Lite' version of xp/vista with stripped services. I will let you know if i find how to Reinstall this service.
