PokerTracker v. Holdem Manager? PokerTracker v. Holdem Manager?

Time will tell, is all I can really say.

Roy just left his job, to devote his full-time work week, and more, to HM. He also does have "HM Support" people on his forums. I have no worries personally.

IMHO - Anyone that plays daily/regularly - at SSNL and higher would be foolish to pick only one. Someone at NL25 may have a harder choice, but such is life. $50-80 is not much money, compared to the money most of us pay a month in rake, or other things. I love my HM, but I wont be surprised if I eventually buy PT3 or PEV also. For me it may be a matter of being more of a software geek, than a poker geek, but I am sure I wont be alone.

that's the problem - it takes time to get a feel for a new program.

Thanks for the impressive stats but that's exactly what I don't need . I mean like I play MTT:
- UTG calls
- shortie MP makes a standard raise (4 big blinds) what is half of his stack

MP is virtually all-in but I need to know if he is
a) trying to get as much as he can with his AA
b) desperate and trying to win his speculative hand uncontested

I mean this move can shove strength or weekness. I need to know which one applies for the particular player.

The stats won't tell me if the 10% means top 10% or 10% of speculative hands...

Hawk,

Have you looked at NotesNL? I haven't used/looked at it all but the few screenshots make it looks like it's doing novel stuff...maybe it covers some of what you need.

Ditto, I haven't tried that yet either, but it does look rather innovative (and somewhat confusing )

Just remembered why I haven't tried it. I think their proposed pricing plan was extraordinarily high, IIRC.

WOW ! That's all I can say.
The price is excessive but I'll give it a try.

hmm, I've done it since I messed with the poker (by hand). I don't understand there's still no established sw that do that.

Did you look at the pictures of the Active Player Detail Window? It is every stat imagineable. It also can show what actual hands (that went to showdown) the player 3bet, 4bet, etc. Once you learn what the stats mean, and how the %'s are calculated they can be very helpful.
