I've started to actively develop PokerStove again. I'm opening this thread for feedback and questions related to PokerStove. If you have any feature requests, or questions about features, let me know. Currently, I'm working on Android development, but I expect to start working on iOS down the road. Depending on demand, there is potential for developing a new cross platform desktop version.

How about allowing a copy and paste directly from the output text window, rather that having to open a separate text file. I have had problems finding results in the text file.

Also, it would be nice if the results were formatted so they look nice when copied and pasted into a newsreader for posting to RGP.

You can do this. Just type ctrl-a, ctrl-c to select all, then copy all.

I might be able to improve the spacing by using a mon-spaced font. The format of the android output is much cleaner though it might be more verbose than you like. And of course, you have to mail it to yourself to get it.

Good to hear!

One thing I've been thinking about for a long time is how the "cancel" button does not serve its purpose. If I open a range and change some hands and then change my mind, I would like to be able to click "cancel" and have the range go back to what it was before I opened the "Hold'em Distribution [Player X]" window and made the changes. As is, pressing "OK" and "Cancel" is the same.

For example. Open Pokerstove. Open "Player 1". Select "All", then click "Cancel". Now it has selected all hands and not actually cancelled anything. When I do this I would like the "Player 1" box remain blank, as I cancelled any changes made in the "Hold'em Distribution [Player 1]" window. This is especially annoying when you accidentally click "All" or something when doing a stove. There's no way to just cancel that but you have to manually input everything from the start again.

I would very much like to see this working.

Anyhow, thank you for a great software!

sweet! can't think of much now... maybe weights and more flexible text inputting (e.g. propokertools).

Thanks for a great program Andrew.
For iOS, pokercruncher pretty much has that covered.......

its never bothered me but have you thought about utilizing GPGPU or do you consider the current speeds acceptable?

Wow! Thanks Andrew. This works. Here is proof of concept, copied and pasted from output text window --

Text results appended to pokerstove.txt

61,642,944 games 0.016 secs 3,852,684,000 games/sec

Board:
Dead:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 81.946% 81.71% 00.23% 50371344 142614.00 { AA }
Hand 1: 18.054% 17.82% 00.23% 10986372 142614.00 { KK }

This has long been my only complaint about PokerStove. I hated having to fetch the text file.

Some notes on requests. This may contain too many details

The current version of PokerStove was done in MFC, and is something that I'm not going to be further developing. A new desktop version will be developed in a framework that should allow simultaneous development on Windows, Mac and Linux. The development for this probably won't start until after the WSOP. Depending on interest and time, I'll work on getting something working, but my main focus right now is working on phone development, so I expect the iOS version to be released before a Mac or new PC version.

While I do have a soft spot in my heart for OS/2, I don't know if sharpening my dev skills on that platform is a good investment.

I'd be happy to test a droid version if you're looking for testers. I got a Droid Bionic (if it matters).

I believe this has been resolved with an update. Try downloading again. If the problem persists, let me know and I'll fix it.

There is an android demo version available right now. It's very bare bones, and I'm currently adding features to it. Highest priority is a preflop matrix display and editor.

Did you just download it again? Could you give me the exact string which causes the crash as I cannot get it to happen on my machine.
