Pokerstars Theme (free) [main Poker Stars mods thread] - Page 80

Hi, awesome thread!

I just went through the first ten pages or so, and I installed a bunch of Everlong's no images themes, which are awesome, and I'm geeked to use. They are working perfectly except for one thing: all of the player names are surrounded by a yellow border, which isn't supposed to be there.

How can I get rid of this yellow border and get the themes to look the way they are supposed to?

the border files that Everlong included with that mod are no longer useable

here is a work around

close PokerStars

go to the Sepia label folder on your computer

should be somewhere like C:\Program Files\PokerStars\XThemes\everlong.twoplustwo.com\s epia\label

delete these four files

border.bmp, border.a.bmp, borderb.bmp, borderb.a.bmp

next, copy these four files

seat.bmp, seat.a.bmp, seatb.bmp, seatb.a.bmp

paste the copied files and you should get

seat copy.bmp, seat.a copy.bmp, seatb copy.bmp, seatb.a copy.bmp

rename these files (respectively)

border.bmp, border.a.bmp, borderb.bmp, borderb.a.bmp

launch PokerStars and you should be good to go

I did what you said, except that in said folder there is no seatb or seatb.a files, from the second step of your instructions.

There was, however, borderb and borderb.a files. So I used the four 'border' files instead of 'seat' files per step 2 of your instructions, and it seems to have worked.

hi, i'm playing at ftp with such a deck:

it's very cool for 12 small tables and a white bace of the cards looks good on any felt of the table.

can anyone make such a deck for Stars? and "Ten" should be 10, plz ) Surely i'd pay for it.

Those 'holdem only' decks won't work on pokerstars because they don't have a 'full card' option for the hole cards. You have to have the card ranks on the left side to know what the 2nd card is when they overlap as hole cards.

What tools are you guys using to create the themes and are there any free options out there? Trying to figure out how to edit bmp images and change colors to no luck.

most people are using adobe photoshop i would imagine. there is a free program called Gimp http://www.gimp.org/ that is pretty good

you'll also need the tools included with the theme development kit from PokerStars - link at bottom of this page http://www.pokerstars.com/poker/room/features/themes/

That is a free (open-source?) alternative to Photoshop. I have never used it but it is supposed to be a decent program.

Yes I have downloaded this recently for other stuff and realized how much better it is then the default windows paint app. Thanks for the info.

Got some free mods for Christmas from a couple of our commercial modding friends. Offer was in the FTP thread but since I got PS mods figured it was more appropriate here.
Since they were so gracious I felt it necessary to post up a pic of their amazing work and show off some their amazing work.
Deck is from Fozzy on his site and table is from Tiltbuster by BarNuthin. Enjoy and thanks again guys.

How do you get your card mods to stay in place? Every time I restart PS it erases my card mod.

The backs for the Default deck use 2 different sized images, both of which are different dimensions than the card backs used by the Simple deck. You have to scale down the Simple backs and save as 2 other dimensions, and use those files in \chips&decks\deck\default

looked through countless posts and couldn't figure out how to make colored notes rings around the classic theme images instead of the tiny sticky notes.. any help?
