I'm used to getting the odd problem with PokerEV:

1. When I try and load a DB with too many hands (I average over 10k hands a day) I get the "Error Connecting to the SQL server.... blah blah..... canceling statement due to user request." I'm assuming this is standard and that it can only handle a relatively small DB.

2. Often the hands won't load properly (after loading- when I click "start") but this problem is always sorted by either closing and reopening PokerEV, or re-installing PokerEV.

However tonight I got the "Error Connecting to the SQL server" message when trying to load just a handful of hands. It had been working a few minutes earlier but now it won't let me load any hands. (I performed a Vacuum/Full Analysis on my PT2 SQL DB halfway through the evening, but I doubt this caused the problem.)

I have restarted my PC several times and also tried repairing/re-installing PokerEV several times. I transferred the hand histories across from my laptop to my desktop and imported them onto my desktop PT2. I then had no problem loading them into my Desktop's PokerEV and it worked fine.

Any suggesting as to what's causing the problem on my laptop, and how to correct it. (It's not happened before in the 6 months I been using PokerEV on my Vista laptop.) I've searched for solutions but found nothing so far.

Thanks.

Now it's not working on my desktop either. Strange.

Anyone else having a problem?
