I have recently started having problems with my computer. I am running Windows Vista. About a month ago, my computer started locking up while I was playing. I mostly play at Full Tilt but I have accounts at Stars and Absolute as well. I contacted tech support and after they had me rebuild my system with the recovery disk, it again crashed and they decided I had a bad hard drive. I sent it in for repair and when it returned it seemed to be working fine. I reloaded my virus software(Mcaffee) and got all the windows updates and it was still working fine. However, after I loaded all my poker clients again, I again started seeing the same problem. I contacted tech support and they informed me that they had never replaced my hard drive because when they received it it tested fine so they simply rebuilt my software and sent it back to me. So they claim that the problem must be some software I'm loading. As poker and Mcaffee are the only things I loaded, I don't know if this is the problem or not. Has anyone else heard or seen anything similiar to this?

It might be hardware rather than software. Check the system logs to see if there are any relevant error messages. Tell people a bit more about what you mean by "crash" as that's a pretty broad church. But do it in Computer Technical Help because you'll probably get more responses.

If you have aero switched on, turn it off. I had tons of problems with both poker clients and other programs with aero.
