I re-installed Pacific to discover an upgrade they didn't bother to advertise. The 'dead space' table size problem on widescreen resolutions is now fixed, and the All-In button is removable (how late am I on this upgrade??)

HandGrabber now seems to close on me constantly after a couple hands. Anyone having or not having problems with HG?

Installed the new version and doesn't seem to work properly for me either. It doesn't crash.. just works inconsistently. My last session it recorded maybe 10% of hands played.

I hadn't heard about this upgrade.. I assume it was released in the past month as I re-installed towards the end of last year and still had the dead-space problem. Glad to be finally rid of that awful all-in button at least.

Best bet is to contact the guys who support HandGrabber.. I think they have a new version on the way.

You could always go back to an older version till they've got it fixed up.

The HG tech says its funny no one else has complained except me, but Pacific didn't advertise the upgrade at all...

My Pacific version doesn't update itself when there's an upgrade so I can have an older version running with no fear that I'll get stuck with non-working HG..

PHG is now supported by us over at idleminer.com

We're working on a new patch that is compatible with all of the latest versions of Pacific, but in the mean time we've produced a tutorial that shows you how to downgrade Pacific to a compatible version.

not that the HG works smoothly for the previous version... it always shows more tables open then are actually open and sometimes it doesnt detect a table when I open it..I need to be on a lookout all the time.. and after then, when I close pacific, and close HG, HG crashes..

I'll wait for the patch..

We're actually working on a complete reworking of the internals to solve the various issues that have been introduced by the Pacific patches.

No hard ETA, but it should be MUCH better when it comes out

It's a software that creates hand histories while you play or observe the tables for the sites that don't have a Poker Tracker supported hand history formats. This enables us to track our (and of our opponents) play in the Poker Tracker.

I just installed the new software and am trying it out with handgrabber.. It seems to work nicely and didnt crash yet.. I am datamining and not playing myself right now..

How long does it take for it to crash or show signs of problems in your experience?

Aha.. Mine worked just fine with the newest software but the problems began when importing hands into PT.. There were a lot of errors (something about big blinds)..

Never mind now, I went for the old software and am currently playing on it.. (the above link).. tx

piece of crap... everyone who reads this thread / owns Pacific HG should send them an Email telling them to get this thing fixed. We paid $50 for this stupid program, almost the same price for the whole Poker Tracker software. I complained about this SIX WEEKS ago and the idleminer guy said it would have been fixed by now.

My pacific started updating to the newer version every time I started it today.. It does so without notification.. Whatever I do right now, it always ends up updating to the latest version and I am generally phucked because of this..

I download the 3.5 version, and exit it, suddenly it's the newer version.. I exit it, and then there's an even newer version and so on until it gets to the latest one.. I can't fight it because there's no option to disable the update in any way..

Anyone noticed similar problems?
