If you are comparing HEM to PT2, then you're mostly right.
PT3, however, offers you a more configurable Hud (any stats - even custom, tabbed popups, color ranges based on expressions... all things HEM doesn't have). PT3 also has the feature you claim is exclusive to HEM. You can create as many Hud profiles as you want in PT3.
Some people have better performance with PT3 than HEM, and vice versa. At this point, the performance of each is about the same for everyone. It's not really an issue unless you're one of the few that has major performance issues with one or the other.
PT3 offers near unlimited research capabilities with its custom stats and reports. HEM's custom stats/reports are much more limited and restrictive. PT3 also offers more flexible and powerful filtering. PT3's ability to OR and NOT filters allows you to filter your data in ways HEM simply can't.
PT3 also has a native Mac client, so there's nothing more to buy and no need to run VM software.
