Lets say price is not an issue. Which software is the best between these two?

I've read everything listed on their sites and watched plenty of videos put out by the programmers, but I am looking for an unbiased opinion since buying this will be a long-term investment for me and I would like to get it right.

Which provides more useful badges and better organized data? Basically I am looking for those who can help steer me in the right direction with my purchase.

I have both -- though it's from a couple of years ago and I think the old Edge package is being replaced with a much more dynamic, and Alan Jackson's Advantage pack has changed too. Fwiw, Edge is amazing. It's fully customizable, which is HUGE for me because you can tweak any aspect of a definition if you're not happy with how it works. The support is excellent -- super excellent. And it's a good deal cheaper.

Edge, hands down, imo.

I only have essentials. But I believe Edge is about to put out their newest package which is going to be a lot more robust and be (I believe) a little more like AJA. You should check out their thread for updates. I think it's literally days away from launching. Might be worth the wait. Pretty sure there will be a trail as well.
