You took away the checkbox for heros stats to be session? I guess cuz you were having problems with that?

Aftermath, Can you be more specific? Have you entered your database information?

Thanks.

Well, if you exit, you will get an error because your database settings haven't been set. Were you able to set your database connections?

Yes, I quickly and poorly implemented that feature in the last round. It was a mistake. It'll be put back in soon, but it will hopefully be without the unanticipated problems that came along with it.

Hey. I just downloaded this today, v0.50, and am trying to get it to work at Stars. Database connection is fine, but nothing shows up when I play. I'm guessing it has something to do with the following that is in the pohlog.txt:

BW Connection made: SERVER=127.0.0.1;PORT=5432;USER ID=postgres;PASSWORD=xxxxxxxx;DATABASE=PT3 Beta DB1;POOLING=true;ENCODING=unicode;
Complete SQL statement:
BW1 DW Completed Successfully.

BW RWC -- DR has rows.

RWRWC -- Table Stats start.
Table stats added.
RWRWC - Doing events.
Error in table recognition.
Error in table recognition.
Error in table recognition.
Error in table recognition.

Thanks for any help and I appreciate your hard work!

Mathanos,

Can you tell me a little bit more about your setup and the problem? Specifically:

1. What OS are you using?
2. What language is your computer default?
3. Does the main POH window show how many seats your table is on?
4. For Stars, verify the following: 1) you are playing at the table (no observed tables for Stars yet), 2) POH points to the same database at PT3 (or HEM), 3) your hand history and main Stars directories are correct in the preferences.

Lets start with that and go from there.

I'm not even positive what information to enter. I'm looking at my PT3 Database management tab and enter what I see.

It shows Server: localhost
Port: 5432
User: postgres

try dbpass as the password...seems to work for some of those who don't know theirs.

1. Windows XP SP2.
2. Norwegian. Changed it to English without any change.
3. The main POH Window is in fact empty.
4. 1) Yes. 2) Yep. Database connection succeeds and the PT3 tracker is checked. 3) Here was the error. Well, the paths were correct, but in PT3 I had the "move processed files to <insert directory here>". By unchecking that, it worked except I don't get stats on new players joining the table. Is that a known error?.

Well, you needed to know your database settings to set up PT3 or HEM. The info would be the same.

FWIW - I have never tried this, because I know my PW.

Thanks Fozzy. And just for info sake, the other information typically is:

host: localhost
username: postgres
port: 5432

Some people also have used dbpass when they don't know their password with success.

I am not a PG expert.

Just started using PokerObserver on Stars. The stats of the players show up in random places.

I have set up a preferred seating in Poker Stars. In PokerObserver, it lists my preferred seat as 0, which is incorrect. How do i fix this?

Tried using this on Stars, I’ve stopped trying to set up a new theme because it just simply seems not to work, well with any reliability, I’ve had to delete the xml settings and reinstall to fix this bug. On 10 player limit tables, it does not seem to recognize the 10th seat as a valid position. For instance, after a hand and it shows mucked hands, it shows the 10th player cards in the 1st player’s seat. Also, if you set the stats to transparent when you open a new table the stats are not transparent, even though the setting at that window say they are, toggling the stat on and off seems to set it straight.

Are you sure your PokerStars main directory is pointed to the proper place? I have had some issues with preferred seats on Stars. Tonight I am going to fix this so you can manually change the preferred seats, so stay tuned.

I have failed to modify the positioning for 10 max tables. I will get that fixed tonight as well.

This is not POH related. You should post this in the PT3 thread.

Be aware Pokerstars "helpfully" changed the location of user.ini only for Vista users with their latest client update - so reading from this file will fail (or worse, return incorrect/outdated info) unless you are looking in the new place also. See: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...d.php?t=172228

it is now stores somewhere in the "documents and settings\<username>" hierarchy IIRC - a real bitch for those of us who try and read this file imo

Yes, Dave, this is causing headaches for some users (and me). As a result, I am permitting manual changes in 0.5.1 which come right after this post.

Update 0.5.1 Posted

* Added ability to change PokerStars seat preferences manually -- this will help Vista users mostly whose seat preferences aren't detected automatically.
* Fixed initial positioning of stats and mucked cards for 10 max PokerStars tables - note: to see changes, you'll need to delete the UserLayoutCollection.xml file and you're modified themes will be replaced with default themes.

I'm having a lagging problem, not a big deal, but thought you'd like to know

I'm playing 6-8 tables on FT, with my own stats disabled. my database is pretty big.

And I'll play lag free for about 500 hands, then lag will start, and by 600 hands, it's unbearable.
I close down POH, and then just immediatley restart it, and it works perfect again, no lag at all...
Then 500 hands later, the exact same thing happens, I'll restart, it works again, and 500 hands later lag... etc, etc

So, just thought you'd like to know. If there is anything I can do to help pinpoint the problem or what, i'd be glad to try and help.
also
I'm running vista.

thx for the cool program

Tried 5.1 for stars 10 position limit table, Hole cards for postion 10 still show at position 1. HUD stats don't show for positions 1 and 10. On the general tab - positioning - apply position only has 9 spots in the pull down.
