Hey everyone,

Although I'm still working on fixing bugs, adding features, etc. I am ready to start working on Party support, but I need some hand histories. Any and all limits. I don't need a lot - just a few.

If you have some to share, please send them to me at support@pokerobserver.com

Thanks.

I'm using POH with PT3 and Stars - the stats aren't coming up although mucked hands are showing. Connection to db is ok. Any ideas?

A few questions:

1. Is your database particularly large?
2. Is the main PO window showing the correct number of seats after you have played a couple hands?
3. Are you autoimporting in PT3?
4. Is your PokerStars hand history directory in the Preferences form correct?
5. Do you move your hand histories automatically after importing with PT3?

The fact that you are getting mucked hands suggests the problem lies in the database retrieval, rather than the parsing of the hand history. Let me know the answers to those questions and we'll go from there.

1. only about 30k hands in database
2. the seat count is always 0
3. yes, auto importing in PT3
4. hand history directory is the default stars one (same as PT3 is using)
5. not moving hand histories.

I was getting mucked hands yesterday but it's not happening today - I updated PO this morning so I don't know if that has changed anything. Also I was getting the PO control bar thingy at the bottom of the stars table yesterday but I'm not getting that anymore.

The 0 seats is suggesting that POH is not reading your hand histories properly. You are playing Holdem cash games, right?

I didnt read the whole thread, sorry, but

- does this have 3-Bet and Donk bet stats?

What does it make better than PAHUD?

Are the notes saved elsewhere and can be exported/imported or edited?

It has 3-bet / 4-bet / Fold to 3-bet/4-bet. It has donk turn stat (donk flop hasn't been added yet b/c PokerTracker 3 doesn't make that stat as easy to capture as donk turn for some reason, although it is obtainable and will be provided.

The notes functionality is disabled at the moment (will be adding soon). They will be saved where they can be edited.

There are a lot of differences between this and PA Hud, but one big one is that PA Hud only works with PT2.

Yes. I also have PT2 and PAHUD running and showing stats as normal.

I think there's a problem with fast tables on stars. I get mucked hands on normal tables but not on fast tables.
No stats on normal or fast tables though.

if I minimize a Full Tilt table while POH is running, POH hogs all the CPU gigahurtz and Full Tilt freezes until I kill POH from task manager

Lateksi,

A few questions:

Which version of POH are you using?

Does it happen every time you minimize?

Can you tell me a little about your layout? Specifically, do you use combo stats? Do you show the table stats? If you use combo stats, can you try creating a new theme without combo stats (or just opening a table with a different number of seats, thus creating a layout with a different theme) and then let me know if the same problem occurs?

This is a "semi"-known bug that I've had difficulty isolating, because it seems sporadic. Your answers above could really help me figure it out.

Need some more info. Here some key questions:

1. Are tables showing in the main POH window? If they are, do Seats show "0".
2. Are you sure you are importing with PT3?
3. Are you playing cash games? If so, limit or no limit?
4. Is the hand history directory reflected in Preferences/Stars correct?
5. Are you sure hands are being imported into that directory? (Check the actual directory to make sure)
6. Do you have a particularly large database?

Let me know these answers and I'll be able to better help you.

1. The tables are showing in the main POH window. After I set the main poker stars directory, correct preferred seatings are shown.
2. I am importing hands correctly with PT3
3. NL cash
4. yes
5. yes
6. a little less than 100k hands

In the main POH window, do the tables showing say 0 seats?

So you had to set the main PokerStars directly manually? Is your PStars main directory in a place other than C:/Program Files/PokerStars?

Can you do me a favor and turn logging on and send me via email the pohlog.txt file after playing in about 5 hands with POH running?

Email: support@pokerobserver.com

Thanks. Some people are having problems with Stars so I want to get it resolved asap.

I am playing HU and the POH window says seat2. I did set the PS main directory manually and it's set as C:/program files(x86)/poker stars. and how do I send you the log file, where can I find the file?

Sorry. The log file would be found where you install POH -- normally C:/Program Files/PokerObserver HUD.

Since the POH main window indicates that there are 2 seats, POH has read the file. Did the Quick Action Panel toolbar lay over the poker table when it recognized the number of seats? It should have.

I've done limited testing on heads up Stars tables. In addition to sending me the log file, can you try sitting at any 6 max or 9 max table and let me know if you get stats?

I couldn't find the log file in the POH folder. I only see the .exe file and 4 .dll files. Is the log file one of the dll files?

The quick action panel toolbar didn't appear over the table. The stats appeared for like a split second when I first sat down but nothing after that. (I played 3sessions since installing POH)

I will try to play on 6max table and tell you how that goes. Maybe later tonight though.

Make sure logging is on in the Preferences, and then you should restart POH.

Your answer though regarding seeing the stats and then having them disappear is interesting. It may point me in the right direction. But please send me the log anyway -- if you still can't find it, let me know.

Edit: Are you using Vista or XP?

Nothing worth announcing. I added the ability to change the Stars main directory, added logging and apparently introduced some exciting new bugs.

If its going pretty smooth for you, wait for 0.3.2 or later to download.
