my "open table" button does not work. is it not functional yet? i've restarted SS and still no go.
Sorry, its not exactly clear how that's supposed to work. You must have PartyPoker open, you must have the game type selected (e.g., $1/$2 NL), and finally you must have AutoHotKey installed (www.autohotkey.com). If all those are true then pressing that button should open up that table in PartyPoker.

-Ben
ok sir, i'll give that a whirl later today.

Ben,

Table opening is a bit slow - any way to speed it up, maybe doing relative searches instead of starting from the top for every table?

If you look at my Remote-PTS script in the PTS thread, then Roland showed me a cool AHK trick to open the tables by just sending the table name to the List (it's instant).

Also, maybe "borrowing" some of the code from the AHK source might help remove the reliance on AHK at all (and maybe speed stuff up a bit?).

Juk

Just took a look, and the helpful line is buried in the script (which has lost all its indentation), here the line you need:

ControlSendRaw, SysListView321, %TableName%

Thanks Juk, I'll check that out.

Which are the first 5 sites you'll be supporting?

Party Poker
Poker Stars
Ultimate Bet
Full Tilt
Paradise?

just curious, what are some of the 'fishiest' scores you guys have seen for tables? non fishiest?

i've seen from -5.2 to +3

but like a few other people have said, i think $30/month is too much.

lol, do you guys fully understand what this program does?
Hi Josh,

And do YOU realize that these guys are going to charge you 30$ every month? And for what? A list of table and players? Something that can be done locally in a few minutes. Because it's not the scanning that takes ressources and time, it's the database queries... Scanning is just reading text in the PartyPoker window, it's fast and easy...

And by the way, have you think about the fact that they are selling you something that don't belong to them? Table and player list are the properties of PartyPoker. I can't wait to see Party ban this software...
PTS support

their program is similar to yours, except it actually works all the time. your program works for me great now, but i'm a little bitter that you didn't give me any support for the 3 months following purchasing it, and it's annoying that once in every ~5 times it jsut doesn't work and i can't use multiple databases without it just not working.

the guys from sixth sense have already sent me about 10 PMs helping me fix a problem i was having since yesterday. it took you 3 days to get back to me for a second code.

so yeah, i'd rather pay 30 bucks a month for a program that will give me support and is constantly evolving. if you had actually done this, maybe you could've avoided this happening. sorry if you have a job, but if you charge for a program you owe it to your customers to give them support when your program clearly doesn't work well for the majority of users. and not only that, but i can't even play on the same computer as PTS is running on, because it steals focus (i had to download a script that someone else made to do it, and it requires a second activation code to run it on another user account). i would've gladly paid 100 a month for your program if you at least supported it and fixed its obvious glaring problems.

and before you start a debate about how worthless sixthsense is, maybe you should try it first? because it seems you don't even know what it does

Hey,

I think you need to add support for smaller stakes before you add support for less used sites. I think there are more Micro-Limit 2+2ers playing Party than there are mid-limit players playing solely at Absolute Poker..

Wow, PTS dude got worked.

I think the $30/month is a bit steep, especially for low-rollers. You should have an option to subscribe for the year. $150/yr, $30/month?

This software is gold.

It'd be sweet if you could one-click join a table's waitlist through the 6th-sense app, instead of having to open the table.

i play 5/10 and 10/20 6max limit. so far the program is pretty worthless for me. any time i would find a juicy table with an open seat through sixth sense it'd be full by the time i was able to join it. unless the table list starts getting updated in real time, i don't think this program will be worth anything to me.

that sucks, because it's pretty close to being really great software that i'd have no problem spending $30/month on

I would tend to agree. If the server scanning was on-demand or in real-time then I think $30/month is a fair price. As is, I think $10/month ($100/yr) is about right...

We plan on continually improving the response time. I expect we will improve it some more very soon.

Unfortunately, it will never be "to the second real time". There are some delays in what Party shows in the lobby and in the scanning that will always be there.

Ideally SS will help you get to an open seat at a fishy table. But its still helpful if it can help you get 1st on the waiting list, as opposed to 3rd or 4th. Of course its up to the individual to decide how useful that is to them.

Ben, any plans to include a composite weighted user & fish score field so I can still sort on that and use the open top 12 tables option? I noticed my score and the fish score are vastly different and I'm sure there is value in both.

If you do the auto-join to waitlist without opening (which would be fantastic), please add auto-join top 12 tables as well.

Yes to both of those. -Ben

Well up until now, we never had official permission from PartyPoker to use this program. All of their responses were dismissive and pointed us to their terms of service. But today, a friend of Ben's told us that he contacted PartyPoker about Sixth Sense before testing it, and that they gave him the OK to use it.

We'll get a copy of the email from him and post it up as soon as possible.

We're very glad PartyPoker has taken our side, and are now even more confident with the product.

If you all keep testing and leaving such productive feedback, we'll keep putting our blood and guts into this project. Expect to see great things from Sixth Sense

later all,
-Dan

(if anyone else has asked PP support if the program is ok and has a reply - feel free to post that as well)

Is there anywhere we can view a change log? I see a new version has been released...

I see you added W$SD; thank you very much.

No problem on the W$SD. Thanks for the suggestion. Please keep them coming.

Yes, I added a new menu to the "Menu" button, its "View History". Since most people don't read that, I decided not to automatically show it everytime there was a change. Maybe I could make that an option for people who like to read the changelog.

I just made some very prelimary NL custom rules. I am just about to try them out, so I'm sure they can use a large amount of tweaking, but if anyone wants to use them here they are.

http://starvs.net/rules.txt

And it would be incredbily useful to have a "big blinds" filter so I could set it at like >75 or something, finding an omega fish, just to see him with 12 big blinds is not cool.

Josh - Are you just using 1 database? If you are using more than one, try using 1 and see if it works. Then we can work from there.

The players who you do have stats for - are they in the same database as the players whose stats are not showing up?

All I can think of is that you could be connecting to the wrong database. Doublecheck your PT File->Maintain database names and make sure the right one is selected.

Anyone else getting the following error when they try to request a password or refresh the table list?

Error: Socket Error # 10051 -- Network is unreachable

I already Emailed Ben about it, just thought it would be helpful to him to know if anyone else is experiencing this.

Do you require an HTTP proxy to access the Internet? That might be it. Also, if you have some firewall software or ZoneAlarm and blocked SS, you might also see that error.
