The offer still stands.
1st. Open the rankdiodes.png file with paint and save it as rankdiodes.png (yes the same name and same extension) on your desktop. then copy the new file over the old one in \Common\Pod folder. (Do all this with your FTP turned off). Restart the computer and run the client. Hopefully this will sort it out.
If not, please post this part of your xml file so we can have a look:

"<!-- x delta from right hand size, y delta from top -->
<image_object x="-20" y="22" url="Graphics/NewTable/Common/Pod/Muted.svg" id="mute_nobadges" />
<image_object x="105" y="13" url="Graphics/NewTable/Common/Pod/Muted.svg" id="mute_badges" />
<image_object x="5" y="10" url="Graphics/NewTable/Common/Pod/RankDiodes.png" id="rank_nobadges" />
<image_object x="6" y="11" url="Graphics/NewTable/Common/PodBadges/rank-diode-%1.svg" id="rank_badges" />
<image_object x="534" y="162" url="Graphics/NewTable/Common/Chips/dealerbutton.svg" id="dealerbutton" />
<image_object x="0" y="60" url="Graphics/NewTable/Classic/Pod/AvatarShadow.png" id="avatar_shadow" />
<image_object x="0" y="60" url="Graphics/NewTable/Classic/Pod/SeatShadow.png" id="seat_shadow" />
<object id="pottext" rule="AlignRight" />"

Also did you say you did a clean install of the FTP client and the problem was still there even with the default diodes?

Thanks, that got it. PM me your sn. Any way to make the note diodes on the tables a tad bit smaller?

Don't worry about it
As far as making the notes smaller, you won't be able to unless you completely redraw the rankdiodes.png file. But then you'll have to use more advanced editing programs as paint does not support transparency and you'll need it if you want the diodes smaller.

A tool like you are describing would be useful not only for mod designers, but to end users that like to switch their mods around from time to time (and of course to reapply them when FTP makes mod-destroying software changes!).

Using XSL, say, you could modify whatever the current layout.xml contains to include either new nodes or changes to data elements. Say, the mod developer (or end-user) provides an "updates.xml" file that your tool can load, which contains just new nodes and/or existing nodes with different data values, and you apply those changes to the correct layout.xml (remember there is one for classic and one for racetrack).

gl!

I finished the basic UI and zip reader last night. I also took a look at the layout.xml files. They're a little ugly, but MOST items have unique IDs. The only issue is the stylegrp items. Making sure they stay in order, FTP or modders being able to add new scales, etc. Maybe I'll leave those out of the first version.

Currently it reads a ZIP file's directory structure and fills out tabs/combo boxes with that data. Tonight I'll get it reading configuration XML files to choose the default items.

I'll create a thread when I have an alpha version ready.

Is it possible to redirect where the FTP client looks for your notes file?

You're suggesting that I've ripped off MrQuicksilver's design. I have designed these cards by myself and I'd be happy to let someone compare the Illustrator source files. The only similarity is that we both used the same font. If you browse this thread you'll see my designs with different fonts and designs as well.

The reason I ended up using this font is that it seemed to scale down particularly well, while maintaining readability. I put a lot of time into finding the right font as I'm sure MrQuicksilver did. We just both ended up with the same conclusion. There is no reason why both decks can't coexist.

I think he was suggesting, that Quick would suggest, you had ripped him off.

Tiltbuster doesnt design fonts. They hardly design decks as they all look the same.

Nice deck limpshove

I was hoping that if I could find where the client is calling the placement of the buttons, we could trick it, but to no avail unfortunately. As always, I'm happy to be wrong and others might chime in to the contrary.

If you are ok with all of your buttons being different color, let me know what you're after and I'll see if I can't help you out. Something like this?

-w0ok-
The idea was just to have the fold button a different colour to encourage me to click it. I used to have a card mod before they changed the format to svg that said "fold" on the back and i taped a label saying fold to my monitor, I noticed an improvement in my results after.

if there's enough interest i might actually finish it and post it somewhere around post number 10k here for free =)

It is a nice looking deck limpshove. I like the highlight on right side that resembles the shape of the FT logo. I joined just to say thank you after you posted the deck. I knew the free part was too good to be true. I guess you changed your mind after the time you put into it. Of course it would take time, everything does.

After bills and family expenses I unfortunately don't have any extra cash for entertainment. Oh well, good luck with sales and take care.

Just a quick reminder that soliciting trades of commercial poker mods is NOT allowed; it doesn't matter if it's via a post or a PM; neither is allowed...

It seems that we are getting more and more reports about this happening (via PM) over the last couple of months... If anybody receives one of these trade solicitation PMs then please forward it to one of us mods asap so we can ban the sender.
