I've searched for the thread title and most hits are about tools and how to swap the .xml file between multiple machines.

I'm trying to modify the player.xml file with the client open but any changes I make are not reflected. For example, if I try to manually add a player to the bottom of the file with a color and note, it is not reflected at the tables the player is sitting at.

Is there another file/call that has to be done?

Where I am going with this: after I have 20+ hands on a villain I like to give them a prelim red or green note indicator based upon their pfr/vpip. Since FTP displays the note indicator in the lobby I find this a helpful way to do quick visual table selection. I am going to try and produce a script that gives me one click update to the note indicator st the table rather than having to use the drop down that FTP provides. Ultimately I may even attempt an update to the file based on PT but that is beyond my abilities at this point.

Any hints?
