I am not sure if this belongs here or in the computer help forum, so if I am in the wrong place let me know.

I have been trying to use Media coder to convert my AVI file to an FLV and it is significantly increasing the size of the file.

I am using the same codecs that I use in virtualdub to compress the video, H.264 for the video and using 400 bitrate when the original file was 500 bitrate. I am using lame MP3 as the audio codec with 64bit.

So all of my settings are the same as in virualdub. When I set everything it says that the file will be compressed from 134mb to 108mb. But when I transcode it, it comes out like 340mb!

Anyone have any suggestions, or has anyone had this issue before?
