i see you think its a bad thing, thats fine i could understand that definitely...

but consider that pokerstove is already almost what i am describing. with a little tinkering it would do this as it already does everything except monitor your opponent and log his actions.

also, you are against a program giving you your equity but can it at least log his actions? for example when i play hu im manually writing down how many times my opponent open folds, open calls, etc so i can formulate a range later on. but this is so ******ed doing it by hand. i would love a program that just kept track of it for me even if thats all it did. would you be against that also? if not, is there such a program? poker has become more of a chore now that i have all this work to do when i play...

I would think the Holdem Manager HUD (note taking) and the Active Players Detail box would be a good way of helping to assign a range to the villain. I havent had much time to play lately, to be able to test this theory.

The integrated HUD notes are slick. And the Active Players Detail window is beyond impressive, imo. If you have a lot of hands on an opponent, the details are amazing.

FYI - I was being a little but sarcastic - when I said you were using pencil/paper.

No, pokerstove doesn't give you a range of hands, you have to put your own in. And it's all but impossible to use it in realtime if you're playing more than one table.

Also, if you're looking for something to log actions, check out the PokerTracker3 thread, it's still free for the time being.

not at all, not at all, but 50-80 $ for a program that tracks whether or not ur opponent called is ridiculous. and thats all i need it to do

It obviously does a lot more than just that.

No it's not.

Writing your own 'track whether or not ur (sic) opponent called' application: At least 50 hours. Figuring min wage that's $400. Think you can do it in less than 10 hours? Whateva.

Buying this one will do MUCH more and you can't really call yourself serious about poker without PokerTracker / PokerOffice imo.

i dled pt3 but it doesnt seem to support carbon poker unless i cant figure out how 2 use it, which is likely. but i dodnt see the logo there...

also it needs to have hh imported>? thats kinda a minus

is there a program that will analyze in real time? it cant be hard. just track % of hands opp open raises, open calls, open folds and % of his actions when i open raise and open call respectfully. its not a lot to do.

It's gonna have to import hand histories if you want to have a database of how many times he raises/folds whatever. The cards on the are just graphics and can't tell anything about how a person plays. To find that out, it need to analyze the hand history files and store them to a database.
