I've heard that running the sites through wine is possible. I've never done this since I'm paranoid the sites will think I'm cheating as their spyware may not work.

Definitely possible.

Either use VMWare or VirtualBox to run Windows. VirtualBox is free and has better sound support, but might be a bit slower...I never noticed that though.

We are planning on having native Linux support in PokerTracker 3 which will hopefully make this even easier...

if you want support for a wide variety of sites / software packages then you basically need to run windows in a VM. I've played UB and stars using wine but ub ran really buggy and wine just isn't that polished in my opinion. I use the free version of VMware server now and am really happy with it.

I've played on Ladbrokes using wine. The client doesn't always update properly though, so you have to redownload.

Definitely planning to switch to VMWare now that I'm playing more than one site.

SWEET! Now to get a linux client for PS :0)

btw am I correct in assuming this is because porting from OSX is a trivial task? Or do you believe there is a large enough user base to justify a more involved port?
