Nearly the same as if one of Party's representative would be a mod at the ZOO or one of the main affil's representative for the Affiliates Forum or GreenPlastic for the Coaching ...etc.

I rarely post screen shots of my mods any more, and I only do it when it pertains/helps the thread/poster. That is not spamming. Spamming is the posting of unsolicited replies and/or new threads that dont answer a question or contribute constructively to the thread, and are nothing more than promotion. I have tried real hard not to spam once I began selling mods, and I think I have done a real good job of it (especially over the past 6 - 9 months). I always give links and discuss free options first, and sometimes havent even mentioned my products when replying to a question about mods. I would hope my 1'000's of helpful replies far outweigh a handful of times, from many months ago, where I may have crossed a line. I go so far sometimes as to even ignore threads/posts I know the answers to, just because the best reply/answer would make me look like I was spamming. I have never once been warned or infracted for a spam post, and I would assume neither has anyone else (whether it be Bar, Quick, I_Am_Smrt, Poker-Layout, or you).

You can be sure now that I am a mod, I will pretty much not be posting pics of my own mods or discussing them (unless asked specifically obviously). And if there was a reported post/thread that has anything to do with graphics mods, I would obviously let _dave_ and Juk handle it.

whilst we're all here, i think this forum deserves like an abbreviation or nickname. Like we have "STTF" and the zoo and bvb etc. 'cos "software" is not specific enough that it refers to a forum, same with "S". thus one is forced to use such things as "the software forum". I believe we need something more specific.

And if anybody think I have doubt about who can become a good mod they are wrong. I don't doubt it and I have no problem with mods and I don't care much but I am entitled to my opinion.
There other mods eg. who were eg. affil site owner once a long time ago.

So from now on eg. an Handhistory Miner site's owner can become a mod of the Software forum. This is 2+2 policy/TC now. I didn't know that.

But my opinion still stands because I would like to see it different.

I always use SW, but not sure how well that is known. Draw and Other Poker has the best abbreviation IMO.

Let's get this in perspective, from both sides: The only reason fozzy has gotten away with his many "click here to buy my mods" posts (sorry, but it is much more than a handful) is because he is also a very helpful poster and otherwise good contributor. The spamming of his site is more than I have seen any other poster do (certainly much more than what has been going on in the Books forum lately) but again, the contributions he makes have made them tolerable as far as I can tell.

He also says he will stop this completely now that he is a mod, and I don't think we can ask for anything more. So definitely congrats fozzy, if you are true to your word then this is very deserving

To be fair, I post more than any other person in this forum, and obviously more than any other developer, etc; so I am at an immediate disadvantage compared to others. I am also pretty sure no one has ever reported any of my posts for being spammy, so I think I have towed the line pretty well in the months/years past. I think you guys are capable of reporting a moderators posts to the admins, so feel free to report me in the future if I cross that line.

I recall in December 2007 I had ~1k posts in the FTP mods thread (out of my first 2k posts total) , learning to mod, helping others mod, and giving away all my work. I know I used to push the boundaries (after I first began selling items), and I made a conscious effort sometime ago to minimize any mention of my side work (and am fairly confident I have). I know I have to be even more neutral now that I am green, and think I can be, or else I would have turned down the offer to be a mod.

No idea about this; but FWIW, I don't own any website. _dave_ asked if I would be a mod, and I said yes. And, not that it's anyone's business, but I barely make enough to buy groceries from my graphics sales.

Whenever he mentions his mods, it's entirely appropriate. Entirely appropriate sounds weird but I've got tables and you know what I mean.
