While we are suggesting and wishing...

PokerStove for sure!

Something to track my live play. Needs to track; date, time, table, stakes/game, poker room, win/loss, tips. Then be able to export/email in XLS format.

MTT chop calculator. Something that can quickly do a chip count chop, percentage chop, a chop with a save or lockup. The more freedom to change the payouts the better.

An MTT calculator.

Props tracker. Something that typical props can be tracked with, like red/black, high/low, etc.

pretty sure there is a poker stove 'esque program in the app store, along with the apple developed "holdem" which is a SNG simulator.

There is Texas Test'em which is well "esque" alright. Not a very good replacement for poker stove. Everything else is simply a game to play with.

i am looking into developing something for the iphone, i was thinking about something for recording live play (results obv, but also some sort of journal with pictures of players, notes for the players, key hands, etc).
would be fun to have a function that automatically posts a hand on 2p2 after i put it in. i could read the answers while still sitting at the table

im not sure if there would be enough customers to make it worthwile though. i guess only serious players would use it, so the price could be a bit higher, but still...

if you want to share any ideas please post them or pm me.

I'm sure the players are going to love it when I ask them to pose for my iphone so I can better remember their donkish tendencies.

A simple application to record date, time, location, limits, and results for B&M play would be useful.

Could sell for a buck or two and make a little off it.

Taking pictures in many casino's and poker rooms is banned or may land you into trouble with the other customer of the room... This is not a good idea.

Having something to make notes on players, games, hands is fine.

But more importantly for those of us that practice good record keeping for those IRA audits, we need...

Table ID, stakes, game, won/loss, tips, casino/room name. It would be nice if it tracked the time in each game too, something like a "start session" button, then fill in known information.

The company I work for is developing some poker calculation software for the iPhone/Touch.

You can check it out at http://www.pododds.com/.

Also, email [email protected] if you are looking for specific features that aren't listed at the site. Your chance to get what you're *really* looking for in a mobile poker tool.

I found a way to play poker on iPhone now. You need to install the (free) VNC client from the iPhone app store on your phone and then get TightVNC running on an XP machine with a public IP address. Then you can run your regular poker client on your XP machine and control it from your phone.

Works great except but changing your bet amounts with the little slider is a bit crap. I'm probably going to make some sort of AHK script to help me out.

are "normal people" able to code iphone apps now? I haven't checked since (pre) launch, but I was under the impression it was a closed platform, has this changed or am I remembering wrong?

If so, anyone have any links to any intro guide to the environment / emulator etc?

please don't do this without a VPN or SSH tunnel or something you haven't mentioned to secure the connection!

Anyone can do it but you have to sign up with their dev program and sign their very restrictive NDA before you get any documentation or anything.

Alternative you can make a iPhone compatiable web application (e.g. http://google.com/m or http://youtube.com/mobile)

If I could find it, I would buy an iPhone app that calculates your M. (and while we're at it, average stack size and your Q)

You'd enter your stack size, the blinds/antes, number of players at your table, and it tells you your M. Easy stuff that a calculator could do but would be more useful to enter the info into fields in an app. I'm always doing this on my calculator at the table.. too lazy to do it in my head when all kinds of other numbers are swimming around there! An extra nice step would be to save different tournament structures that you play often, as presets stored in the app. Then you just tell it what blind level you're at instead of manually entering the blind info. If I could code I'd write it myself!

We'll definitely work this into our calculations area of the application.

Thanks for the suggestion and it shouldn't be too difficult to have it do exactly what you want.

We're still working on incorporating all the feature ideas we've received from the hundreds of people that have signed up to be notified of PodOdds' release.

In the mean time, we've released PodOdds Lite to the App Store. It contains hundreds of odds & probabilities for most common scenarios encountered at the Hold'em table.

We're still taking suggestions for the 'Pro' version of the application and definitely appreciate your feedback on the 'Lite' version of the application.

The link to PodOdds Lite on the App Store can be followed from our site, pododds.com.

We really appreciate the surprising volume of suggestions and we're working to make this the best tool available to Hold'em players.

Thanks Again,
Chris

I've been developing on the iPhone and thanks to this thread, I've got the following projects slated, and I'll post here when anything makes it into the AppStore:

ICM/Chipsplit calculator
PokerStove clone
B&M Session log, including the ability to type in specific hands

Any other requests, let me know.

Yeah I saw this on iTunes and it looked good, just waiting for a review.

I'd like one that does ranges instead of just specific hands but none of them seem to do that.
