How to flip Open Office spreadsheet?

I have a spreadsheet that I want to flip, the same way that the old Sideways program would let you put "column headings" across the side of the page so that you could have more headings on the "top" of the page.
This sheet keeps raw data on all my poker activites: time spent, event, type (study/play/administrative) winnings, FPPs, etc. Now that there are knockout (bounty) tournaments, I need a new column for bounties, and there isn't any more room across the top of the page.
Using Open Office, I clicked on Format/Flip. Flip shows two options, "Flip Vertically" and "Flip Object Horizontally". Both options are grayed out and do not work.
I searched the index for Flip (it's not there), and I could not find anything relevant under Format, Horizontal, Vertical or View.
Any help would be appreciated.
