Roy simply ran into some bugs which needed to be addressed first. I don't know if you have been following the PT3 thread, but I don't know if you really wanted PT3 for the past 2 months. 
You could have used a 60 day trial of PT3 if you wanted tourney support, they got it, although they are missing lots of other features, and functions, IMO. And it might have crashed a few times day, or worse. Personally, for me, i would rather my tracker was stable, before it supported tourneys (I dont play tourneys 
).

I think we probably could have had stable trackers with support for everything months ago -- if the developers didn't spend so much time working making the HUDs stable/functional.
