Harddisk hyperactivity because of postgressql

Hi,
I have a big database (about 100Go) and I have a problem. The activity of my harddisk is always high and it makes freeze and slow down a lot my computer.
If I go in the ressources monitor, I can see that :
It means that postgressql is using my harddisk and that's the problem.
How can I solve this ? Is it possible to "help" my harddisk or to tell him to not work so hard or to stop those process ?
