Getting names and seats of players in Zoom Poker

Can anyone tell me how HEM and PT4 manage to determine in real time the names and seats of players in fast fold variants such as Zoom Poker?

Here's the info I've gathered so far:

* This information can't be obtained in a timely manner from hand history files, as they are written after each hand finishes.

* The chat window does list players as they make actions, but each player only appears when he makes his first preflop action.

* A PT4 support representative says that neither product uses screen scraping because it is unreliable.

* Both products on Windows require that they are run as Admin in order to support zoom poker.

as i remember, there was speculation whether Stars was actually helping them by giving them access to some pipe stream or something like that

Thanks all for the responses. I read through the historical threads. It seems PT4 and HEM use DLL injection. The injected code streams via a named pipe the necessary info back to their own software. This is an approach I'd like to avoid for Poker Copilot's Windows version. But OCR is not great either. Damn.

You can use screen scraping, I don't know where I read it but, a legit poster said it was possible, so.. maybe it is the way to go for you
