This version makes my computer explode.

Didn't get the last two updates (since I only data mine the 20 hours a day I am not on my poker computer) but this is just outstanding work! Thanks, great stuff!

That's unusual. Let us know if you want some help diagnosing your problem. FTTO is working fine for me.

Basically it freezes everything, my sound card and wireless card stop working, and explorer crashes. Its ugly. Is there a log file I can send you?

Mayhem: Try it again, and let me know when it crashes. Is it at startup of the script or after a sequence of buttons that you push?

Make sure you have a recent (or latest) version of AutoHotKey.

You could also try erasing the .ini file for the script (in the same folder as the FullTiltTableOpener.ahk script). Be sure to erase it when the script is not running. This will reset all the options to the original starting conditions.

You could try opening a table manually and see if the "Close Tables" will close it (if it is not one of the groups you have set up).

Try to give me some clues as to when and under what conditions the problem occurs.

It happens a few minutes after all the tables open. I think its the first time it goes through its autocycle. I dont really want to mess around with it too much more because it is seriously messing up my laptop.

the script opens the tables just fine, but all of the tables are blank. what gives ? it worked fine yesterday today it's not working.

I haven't seen that before. I have had full tilt connection problems today.

Sorry if this has been covered before, but I've come across a problem and can't find the answer.

I'm using the script to datamine as many 6-max 50NL and 25NL tables as possible, and have used the input values:

Group A:
Tables: 16
Seats: 6
Players: 6
Big Blind: 0.5
Table Type: NL
Min Avg Pot size: 0

Group B:
Tables: 16
Seats: 6
Players: 6
Big Blind: 0.25
Table Type: NL
Min Avg Pot size: 0

For whatever reason, when I run it with these input values it opens 17 50NL tables, and no 25NL tables. Any help for this clueless noob?

p.s. other than this problem, the script is GREAT. Thanks for the fantastic freeware!

You can only have 16 tables open at once on Full Tilt at a time, so it will open as many Group A tables as it can before hitting the 16 table limit (you said 17, which I suspect you got from the taskbar saying "17 Full Tilt Poker" - one of those is the lobby). The only way the script would open up any 25NL tables is if there were less than 16 50nl tables running.

The fact that 17 (or 16 rather) might be the maximum # of tables open at a time hit me soon after I posted this. Explains everything :/

nanochip - I think the newest FTP update might have broken FTTO. While I was playing today, any tables I was sitting & playing at that didn't meet the min # of players requirement got shut down; this only started happening today, which was the first time I played since Thursday.

try ticking 'only close minimized tables'? None of the tables I was playing were closed since the update.

While I'm playing, I just use one of my monitors for game selection and keep all the tables I'm not playing at open over there so I can quickly browse through them and look for good games. I can't keep "only close minimized tables" checked because then FTTO won't close tables that break up.

It all worked ok a few days ago, the new update probably mucked around with however nanochip was figuring out which tables you're sitting at, just like it did with a lot of the button names.

Yeah, I think that's it. I suck at poker right now so I don't feel like playing today but I think this should fix it:

Changing "FTCButton29" to "FTCButton32" should do it, I think. The control name for the sit out button changed between updates.

I don't know if this has already been mentioned as a feature suggestion, but it would be great to be able to open tables according to VPIP instead of Avg Pot Size.

Sorry for the most likely idiotic question, but how do you get the observed hands' histories? I tried opening 16 tables for a few minutes and saw a bunch of .tmp files but when I closed the tables, no HH's were written... I do have HH's saved (it works fine with played hands).

Observed hands are saved as ".temp" files and are instantly deleted when their corresponding table is closed. You have to import before closing.

Nanochip (and others),

I'm kinda new to the whole datamining arena. I was wondering if this is the kind of software sites like Sharkscope and ThePokerDB use to collect their data? Reason I ask is I think it would be fun to build such a database on my own but I'm unclear how these guys are doing it. My understanding (from this thread) is that Full Tilt restricts the number of clients open on any machine (I think it was 16 max tables) so if a client has to be open to collect this data, and there are over 5,000 concurrent tables in process, that's a lot of machines running to collect all data from one site... leading me to believe there has to be another way to do this. Any thoughts would be appreciated. (And thanks for this great software!)
